Default Need More Protein ideas

What does everyone eat to get their protein levels higher in a day? I would love some new ideas. We do the following:

* Greek Yogurt
* Lean Meats/Chicken
* Cheese Sticks
* Milk

My staples are similar.

Lean meats/fish (turkey, chicken, turkey or chicken sausage, fish of all sorts, shellfish when I go out)
Greek yogurt
Skim milk
Egg whites/egg beaters
Protein powder (usually made into a frozen smoothie)

Other occasional foods are cheese, hummus, nuts, PB2, quinoa. I'm not much of a bean eater, unfortunately (I just don't like most of them; it's a texture thing).

Tilapia (or other) fish, cottage cheese (but only certain brands...that stuff can be delicious OR nasty!), boneless-skinless chicken breast, Definately canned tuna, string cheese, beef jerky is GREAT for protien--(but has a TON of sodium).

Oh, yes, I forgot about jerky! I eat a lot of turkey and buffalo jerky. Yes, high in sodium for sure, but a good, filling snack.

And I'm always on the hunt for a good protein bar. I ordered a few of the Quest bars after reading about them in the other thread (see a few threads down), and they just arrived today. Most are ~170 calories and 20g protein. I'm looking forward to trying one tomorrow.

I like cottage cheese, but it has a surprising amount of sodium in it!! Some brands make low-sodium cottage cheese but it just tastes awful to me.

Today I discovered that white beans taste a lot better to me than other kinds, so I am going to keep that in mind when looking for recipes in the future.

Not as much protein by far, but tofu! Love tofu, and it tastes great with shrimp/fish paste on top, so that's a plus. Steamed silken tofu + shrimp/fish paste & a little bit of fish soy sauce ... mmm.

I eat a ton of egg whites 4-6 per day, actually. I find them very filling for some reason. I love them boiled (pets get the yolks). I like them "fried" with a spray of non-stick spray. I like them fluffed in a mug in the microwave. I like them scrambled with a ton of veggies for a dinnertime omelet. I love them with onions, avacado, mushrooms, jalapenos, hot sauce or a sprinkle of cheese, or just about anything really. And, again, for whatever reason, they always fill me up.

I also enjoy Healthy Snackin meat snacks, and Trader Joes chicken sausages for protein.

Great post!
