Default Salad Dressing Recipes...?

I just bought a nice bunch of baby spinach and head of super crispy bibb lettuce. I was all set to make myself a nice big salad for dinner. I went to make my usual balsamic and olive oil dressing and Im out of oil. All Ihave is my husbands Ranch, which I can't stand.

Help a girl out? What's your favorite homemade dressing recipe?
Thanks!

I made this one about a week or so ago. A nice twist to Balsamic dressings =) I doubled the batch so I had more on hand. I suggest also using a fruitier balsamic vinegar but you can use regular red wine balsamic vinegar as well.

Strawberry Basil Balsamic Dressing

Combine in blender:

6 medium sized strawberries

1T balsamic vinegar

2-3T water

1/4c fresh basil (measured loosely, not packed down)

i always just put cilantro, lime juice, and siracha hot sauce (not sure if this is correct spelling...?) on my salads. and maybe a spoonful of salsa too! but im a big fan of spicy.

1/2 an avocado with the juice of one lemon mashed together until smooth, salt to taste with a little hot sauce or cayenne for heat. I really like it and I love avocado and it's healthy fat so I feel it is much better for me than processed cream dressings.
