Default I think I'm addicted to butternut squash "fries"

I swear I've eaten them every night for 2 weeks now.

Absoultely pink puffy paint heart love them (I think more than sweet potato fries). Baked, lightly salted and seasoned with paprika and garlic powder and then dipped in ketchup. It's like I'm really eating fries (or maybe I just haven't had real fries in so long LOL)

They're all over pinterest, but in case anyone is curious, here's a link to the recipe.

I wonder if these will work on 10 and 11 year old boys. Hmm....will have to try this for my son's sleep over tomorrow and experiment. There's your true test!

This sounds amazing and I'm so glad you posted it! I love butternut squash in all its various forms already.

Indeed that IS the true test LOL. I have an 11 year old boy and he is SO picky. I think if these are cooked crispy (as crispy as you can get them) and not soggy, then they might be a hit.

Thank you so much for linking to that recipe. I'm going to try it. I love butternut squash, but my "fries" always come out soggy, and maybe it's because I don't use a wire rack.

Thank you very much for posting this. I just bought a wire baking rack exactly like the one she uses - this is a great excuse to break it in. I am going to make these to bring to my friend's house for the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Wow, wow, wow, how good do they look!! I'm going to buy one & make them. Is it possible to freeze them in portions if I given them a partial boil beforehand?

This sounds wonderful - I've now pinned it! I need to buy a wire rack now....I've always needed one anyway.

I am glad everyone loves these just as much as I do! I could seriously eat them every night!

@LW12 - I'm still pretty much experimenting with these myself, but I don't see why you couldn't do that. If you try it, please let me/us know how it works!

I had butternut squash on Saturday, yesterday and then I just threw some of the leftover in my breakfast burrito. Seriously, what DOESN'T go with butternut squash? I felt like I had Potatos in my burrito (egg white, cheese, salsa, trader joe spicy guac and yummy butternut squash).

Nom noms.
