Mustard

I have been using a lot of mustard on my sandwiches recently. I have seen calories range from 0-20 per serving. Right now my favorite is Grey Poupon Mild and Creamy. http://brands.kraftfoods.com/GreyPou...tards/mild.htm It says there are 0 calories. I do have a hard time believing this.

Do you have any favorite mustards? There are so many out there to try. ;)

I really wish I liked mustard on more foods than I actually do...:?: I do need to buy some of the horseradish mustard and see if I can work it in in place of mayo sometimes. I like it spicy, but not HOT.

I like regular old yellow mustard on hot dogs.

I like mustards, too. I think the 'creamy' part is what you have to watch. I saw that the serving size is 5 grams. Not sure how much that is but I bet I'd use at least 5 times that amount. And it does contain sugar and corn syrup so it can't be calorie free at higher amounts. If you can use just 1 serving per day than maybe it is calorie free, but I'd be leary.....My fav is spicy mustard but I use it with mayo, which I count.

I looked and all of them are 5g servings. I also eat more than 1 serving at a time. ;) It has to be less calories than mayo, though.

i love mustard! i've been meaning to start a thread just like this!

i love honey mustard, some brown mustards, and especially spicy mustard (it has dried red peppers). i can only find that kind at walmart, it's delicious!

i'm not that worried about the little bit of calories. i save calories, because i'm not using mayo or using less, or other high fat ingredients.

i even use honey mustard instead of dressing on my salads :)

mustard has helped me a lot, i was a mayo addict, i get horseradish, spicy brown, or southwestern usually

I LOVE all types of mustard! The tang and flavor it gives, heh. Lately, I've been liking the horseradish flavored spicy mustard with some tabasco/habanero sauce mixed in for a kick.

Katy- I do the same thing, sometimes I even mix the mustards with balsamic vinegar to "stretch it out" and the balsamic vinegar is only 15 cals per TBSP. Especially good with coarse black pepper! ;)

I love mustard too but the it seems to have a lot of sodium for the 1 tsp serving size.
