Roasted Brussel Sprouts?

I want to include some new veggies into my meals and have been thinking about brussel sprouts. How do you roast them? Just by adding some salt and pepper and sticking them in the oven? How long do you roast them for? What other ways can you cook them so as to retain the nutritional value?

You can use whatever seasoning you want, but basically take your sprouts, put in a little bit of olive oil to evenly coat the sprouts, add some salt and pepper and roast at like 400F for 30-40 minutes.

I make mine "shake and bake" style. I put my sprouts (or any roasting veggie) in a bag or tupperware style container and toss with a little oil (I can use a lot less oil and make sure all of the veggies get coated that way) and then add seasoning mix (I usually use ranch dressing powder) and shake again. Then pour into a foil-lined pan (because I like veggies very carmelized, they can stick to glass and metal pans to the point it's very hard to get them clean again) and bake at 400 - 450 degrees until the edges are crispy and the sprouts are tender.

I cut mine in half, shake them with olive oil and herbs, throw the cut side down on a skillet for a minute to get some brown on them and then pop them in the oven. Drizzle with a bit of balsamic reduction and YUM

I cut the bottoms off and cut the sprout in half. Toss in a baggie with olive oil, whatever spices I feel like at the time (typically rosemary, oregano, bail, thyme, cayenne, paprika, cilantro, black pepper, crushed salt, sometimes some crushed red pepper; though salt, pepper & oregano is good too), put them in a pan sprayed with spray or rubbed with oil and roast at 375-400 for 30 mins. Higher temp or longer time if I want a little crunchier. I tend to use glass, but am going to try kaplods pan suggestion.

Cut in half; saute in 1T olive oil (cut side down) for a minute or two; sprinkle with salt; toss; enjoy!

This is my current FAVORITE vegetable!
