I forgot to peel it off my apricot before chomping down.
This is probably my third one in a two-week period. I try to peel these little adhesive labels off the fruit when I get it home, but sometimes, for some reason, I forget. (This also happens with vegetables, particularly tomatoes.) And so I roast them, or stir fry them, or just plain bite into them when I have a piece of fruit in my hand.
I can't be the only one who's increased her fiber intake by occasionally accidentally ingesting a little paper label. Am I? Fess up.
