Default Boost Energy Drinks As Meal/Snack

ok some days i dont really eat alot and dont get my recommended minimum of 1200 calories, so i drink a Boost nutritional energy drink(240 cal) with maybe a couple tablespoons of peanut butter to get in the rest of my calories . but i looked on the packaging and it says it helps you GAIN weight..while im trying to LOSE. i dont get it..if i drink one of these ,lets say 2-3x a week and stay within 1200-1400 caloric range with exercise, will i gain weight? are these drinks good for meal replacements or a snack if you have a hard time getting to 1200 calories daily?

It is all about the calories. If you are within your calorie range, then there isn't some magical property in the drink that'll make you gain weight.

Similarly, my husband was telling me a story of someone he knew in high school that used Slimfast to gain weight. It was an amusing story but the person wanted extra calories and it was an easy way to get them.

Some of the Boost drinks are high in sugar. So if you find yourself really hungry afterward, you might want to switch over to something else like yogurt, peanut butter and apples, or maybe some roll ups.
