Hey, I am using this quite often too--great source and cheap source of Omega 3's. First make sure yours is already ground. If it's not, you can put it through a coffee grinder. Your body cannot digest the seed itself without it being broken. Secondly, once it is ground store it in the fridge. It can go rancid otherwise.
I put mine in smoothies, whole wheat pancakes/waffles, and I also mix into peanut butter for my kids. I use it daily in my own oatmeal.
