Shaking it for lunch?

Hello! I have these yummy protein fortified weight-loss shakes, similar to Slim-fasts protein ones but a different brand. These are low in calorie, 20g of protein, 0g sugar, and 9g of fat. I'm a vegetarian and I use these to get my protein. But, I was curious if it would be a bad idea to have one for lunch. I work 12-7 and I don't take a designated lunch break and would prefer just to sip on this instead try to eat a meal in a quick 15 minute break.
I was only curious if it was bad because it wouldn't be right after or before a work out. I work at a desk so my buns are mostly planted for hours at a time.

Do you think that I would risk weight-gain somehow by drinking this when I'm not doing physical activity? (I work out both in the morning and at night)

Ps. I have a nutritious snack (fruit, nonfat yogurt etc) when I start work and soon before I'm off.

Thanks for any advice, in advance!

If it keeps you feeling full I don't see a problem with it. IMHO I don't think it matters when you eat a certain thing...at the end of the day it all averages out.

Doesn't really matter whether you get the protein and fat from a shake or from real food, they'll have the same basic effect on your weight.

If it's causing you to eat less "real" food during your day, you'll be getting less vitamins/minerals, and maybe you'd want to take a multivitamin if you don't already. That's the only problem I can think of.
