Question about Whey protein and milk
Hi all,
My name is Monica, and I was told that using milk, even non-fat, in my whey protein shakes, will not help me to lose weight. Is this true?? I hate to use water, it is yucky! any suggestions as to what to use instead of water....or is is ok to use non fat milk, I was told it was bad because of the sugar content in milk. please help! :( |
There's nothing "bad" about milk or the milk/whey combination for losing weight. You just have to remember that milk+whey has more calories than water+whey. If you're not losing with the milk+whey, then cut a glass of milk (or equivalent calories) elsewhere in your day's food intake. If calories in < calories out, you'll lose weight; if not, you won't.
BTW, you might experiment with different brands of whey. Some mix better than others in water (and taste better, too). Kaw |
I am loosing weight, but i was told that I will stop loosing if I use milk? I was thinking, even with milk, my calories could not go up so high. I will work harder, and walk more. Thanks for your advise. kisses!:carrot:
