I like hummus but no one else at home really likes it like I do. When I make it there's quite a bit from the recipe and I was wondering if any of you have ever frozen hummus and what was it like after it thawed?

No I haven't, but could you make the recipe smaller? I recently started making hummus and just cut the recipe in half and then store in the fridge for a few days.

I freeze mine all the time. I make 1/4 cup portions. I am not sure if freezing it with tahini in it would be any more of a problem than my recipe with sesame oil in it. I wouldn't think so. It is just so cool to be able to whip out a portion size from your freezer!

OK, I'm going to freeze the hummus in small portions. I could make a smaller batch but it's just as easy to make a large one and freeze the rest. Thanks for your suggestions.
