Mayo replacement

What do you like to use in place of mayonnaise? I have never met a low cal version that I liked, so I just gave up with substitutions and started looking for alternatives.

Here are my favorites:

Hummus
Tzatziki Sauce (primarily yogurt, cucumber, and lemon juice)
Avocado (not really low cal but has it's own health benefits)

I use half regular mayo and half greek plain non-fat yogurt. It is more tangy, but very tasty. I have also used half regular mayo and half low fat sour cream in some recipes.

I sometimes use miracle whip...it has 1/2 of the cals

Avocado, hummus, and Veganese are some of my favorites. Greek yogurt is also good if you eat dairy :)

I'm not a huge mayo fan, I normally only use it to bind tuna/salmon for tuna/salmon salad or on turkey sandwiches right after Christmas/Thanksgiving. In either case, I just use low fat Best Foods mayo (Helman's in the south). I use just a spoonful for tuna salad sandwiches (mmm with plenty of red onion and dill pickle).

For most things - hamburgers, everyday turkey sandwiches I much prefer mustard.

My favorite that I prefer MUCH more than regular light mayo is the Eggless Vegan Light Canola Oil Mayo made by Spectrum Naturals. It's not too tangy like some other light mayos can be and is only 35 cals a tablespoon.

Some of my favorite substitutes for mayo:

Smashed avocado
Homemade salsa (yummy!)
A wedge of Garlic and Herb Laughing Cow
Greek yogurt with some red onion stirred in

ooh, Laughing Cow wedges is a good idea!

I use Nasoya brand Nayonaise. It's a mayo made with soy. It has only 3g fat (no trans, .5 sat, the rest unsat) and 35 calories per serving. I've used it in things like tuna or egg salads, and I've used in recipes, like when making my own salad dressings. I first found it at Whole Foods, but I can now also find it in the natural/health food section in some regular grocery stores.

Nasoya also makes a Dijo Style version and a fat free version. I use the dijon one in egg salad for little kick, but I haven't used the fat free one--I can only find the fat free one at Whole Foods, and I don't go there very often.
