Freezing Food Question
 

I had a question about freezing food. It's summer and their are 3 foods that I have been craving: Potato Salad, Spinach Artichocke Dip, and Cole Slaw. The store that carries my favorite of these three only sell them in 1 pound containers. Needless to say me and a 1 pound of container equals one of two things: I eat all of it; or I end up wasting a ton. I don't like either of those choices becuase I don't have enought money to waste food and I don't like to eat food like that in large quanities because well it throws off my diet. So my question is if I buy the 1 pound container can I take out a porition and then freeze the reamining in single servings?
