Default Egg White Nutrition Facts?

Hey guys...

Do you know what the calories are per egg white? For some reason I haven't been about to find it.

Thanks

According to Fitday.com, one large egg white has 16.5 calories and 3.47 gms of protein. Pretty good numbers if you ask me.

I'm guessing it's pretty low...but do you know how much fat?

That's a great number! I'm thinking of adding them to my diet. I'm allowed FF sour cream and yogurt which has 20 calories per serving, so I see no harm in having a couple eggwhites and taking out my dressings for the day. It will give me some variety

Egg whites are great for you--tons of volume, lots of protein, and a great vehicle for veggies. I eat egg white omelets or frittatae pretty much every other day.

For one large fresh egg white, Nutridiary says 17.4 calories, 0.1g fat, 0 cholesterol, 0.2g carbs, 3.6g protein.

Yep . . . I'm an egg white fan, too . . . basically: the fat is in the yolk and the white is almost pure protein.

I eat alot of egg whites everyday too. I make my egg muffins out of about 8 egg whites and 2 whole eggs. It's really a simple recipe and i have breakfast on hand for the whole week. I just bag it up and take it to work and nuke it. Lots of protien and low in calories.

lumifan, what else so you do to make the muffins?
I'd love to make something on one day and then eat it for the whole week!
I really get tired of cereal and oatmeal, but it's so quick.
