Which Kathy Smith to choose? (beg., int., & advance)

  • I'd like to add K.Smith (as well as Tae Bo) into my dvd mix. If you had to rate her videos/dvd's what would be considered beginner, immediate, and advance levels? I'm not a big fan of using bands, a ball, or weights. I hope that doesn't eliminate a chunk of her programs.

I look forward to all of your suggestions. Thanks in advance!

update 5:00pm: O.k., I'll try the exercise acessories. Sock it to me, list wise.
  • Well, if you aren't using bands or weights it is going to be hard to do resistance traing which I have found for me is the key to weightloss.

If you change your mind on that I would recomend Project You, I found it because of this website and it made dramatic changes to my body.

Most of her videos that I have done can easily be modified for a beginner or someone more advanced, that is what makes her so great for me, you can always use the videos.

If you want to try kickboxing I highly recomend her kickboxing tape or Aerobox. She is supposed to release many of her older titles on DVD this year, you can get the kickboxing one on DVD.

She also has a personal trainer DVD that uses sections from other previous workouts.

I also like Functionally Fit Peak Fatburning and many like her simple step tapes if that is an option
  • I think Kathy's videos are generally intermediate level. (I have not seen Project You.) I enjoy her quite a lot; she comes across as real and approachable.

I like her Latin Rhythm workout, which uses no equipment at all. She also has a Bellydance video, but I don't think it is intense enough for anything beyond a beginner level, though it is fun! Her Timesaver Cardio and Functional Fitness are really good. The Kickboxing video is wonderful!

If you would like to try step aerobics, Kathy has several that are quite good. I like Power Step. She has a circuit workout using the step; I believe it's called Ultimate Fatburning, or something similar. It's lots of fun.

    Have fun shopping!
