Soooo glad to find Leslie fans here....I am starting with 4 fast miles today! Have done the 5 mile fat burning walk but find 4 fast miles to be a better workout! Was wondering if we can substitute 2 mins boosted walk with rope skipping?? Any ideas?
Also, it is safe to jump rope at 195 lbs? My technique is fine. Only concerned about joints! Pls share ur experiences

jivejazz8. I don't know how old you are but jumping, even in Leslie's videos, is hard for me. I'm 65. There is a lot of jumping in 3mi remix and 3mi party songs.

Hey Carol!
Yesterday morning I ran with my DD and then we went to a theme park all day long! So I didn't have time to update!
Today I have strength training after school, first day back.

jivejazz- as for jumping rope, if you can do it, I'm sure it's great! As Carol said, the jumping never went that well for me with the videos. I had to just jog instead. IDK why jogging is okay for me and not jumping! Years ago my kids had a trampoline and I couldn't jump on that either. Causes leakage -- TMI, sorry!

Thnx carol and calcounter for your inputs. I am 30 but my body isn't. I was getting ahead of my self I started with the 4 fast miles workout today and realised I'd be happy to stick with an attempted jog, leave alone skipping..may be wen I am stronger...but I absolutely loved this workout. 50 mins really so fly by, and I am panting the entire time.
Carol - I am in awe! Wow. I will consider my self lucky if I could actually do as Leslie tape at 45! You are such an inspiration.

Thanks again to both of you.

Yes, Carol is definitely an inspiration!

Back on my routine this week since I am back at school. Had strength training yesterday. Jogged this morning and then followed up with the Leslie flexibility walk. I haven't been doing the stretching the past two weeks that I was off school because most days my DD and I jogged together (although she ends up way ahead of me!) and then when we would get home we would be rushing off to do something. I have been feeling very tight in the calves/thighs so this morning's stretch felt really good.

hey gang - I'm really having trouble getting up at 5:00 and getting moving. I turn off my alarm and fall back asleep.... I never do that... maybe it's the cold LOL I'm asleep by 9:30 pm and should be able to get up at 5:00 am.

anyway, even tho I got up later at 5:15 - I did 15 minutes on my exercise bike with moving handle bars. at least it got me moving and got my heart rate going.

Welcome jivejazz we love Leslie around here
