Carol, when I first started I didn't go all the way down, but as my legs got stronger I just pushed myself to go deeper. I don't go soooo far down as to hurt my knees but you know, I go as low as I can and keep good form. I honestly started with 10 squats and added about 5 a day.

This morning I rode my exercise bike for 20 minutes (boring) did 50 squats and then some planks

Later gaters

Cathy, whenever I do anything like that they really hurt the next day. So I wondered, just like lifting weights you should do them every other day

I get bladder infection from biking and horse riding. I got them all the time when I was a kid until the seventh grade when I quit doing both.

Lots of cleaning to do getting ready for deer season and Thankgiving. Don't know if I'll get to Leslie or not. Would have done it earlier but people keep running in and out.

What about doing the squat? When you did them the first time did you thighs hurt a lot? And do you go ahead and do them again anyway?

I think the bladder infections thing is hereditary. Mom had them too. I always thought we must have short urethras, easily infected.

Yes my thighs hurt at first but when I worked up to 90 I was only adding 5 every 2 days. ... So I took it slow. If my knees starting hurting while I was doing them then I stopped but if it was just soreness I pushed thru a little. I don't want to be miserable sore... I have too much to do

Today we put up all the Christmas decorations ..Uhmmm it took 10 hours... And I'm more sore then if I had done 90 squats lol. And yes it's early.. This is a first for me.. But I wanted to get it done so that I don't have to do it the day after thanksgiving. We are having a gathering here that day so would like the next day off

Exactly. When I started the planks I had a cough and that really hurt so I'm hoping to get use to the squats, too, but I just can't imagine. Sun. I'm always really busy so I don't exercise that day.

I am doing my Christmas decorations next weekend. Very early for me to, but My DD will be here thanksgiving weekend and I don't want to have to worry about decorating after that. I had to teach on Saturday, it was a make up class for thanksgiving. Yesterday went for 40 mile bike ride.

I know what you mean about soreness vs injury. I don't want to get injured but if I waited to exercise until I had no soreness I'd be exercising once a week!

Today is rest day!
