Gin - I also like variety! I have most of Leslie's dvds except for the sets that were exclusive to Target. our Target didn't carry them and I really had most of those workouts in other dvds of hers so I didn't stress over getting them. I do like the booster on the walk eat lose set. let me know what you think when you try it.
Hello everybody!! Did the ab work on the Boot Camp DVD last night. Not sure it that is why I awoke with a muscle spasm or strain in my mid-back this morning, but I was afraid to try the Boot Camp (the "reverse fly" especially). So I did the 2 mile High Energy Burn w/ weights. I think it helped to move in some way. My back feels much better after some ibuprofen and heat. I'm going to be very careful the next couple of days.
Goal for the next 2 weeks: Buy 4# weights (2# each) to replace the 2# (1# each) set I am using currently. Possibly find a 3 mile walk to intersperse with the Boot Camp.

Back to my 2 mile of 5 Day Slim and must say I really liked it. I like mixing up my exercise with horse back riding, elipticals, hiking and neighborhood walking. But WATP is my favorite.
What a weekend I had! I came down with the stomach flu on Saturday. That's never fun. Needless to say I took a couple days off. I started doing the 2 mile express walk tonight, but my muscles were cramping really bad. I guess I'm still pretty dehydrated from the flu. I ended up doing the first mile and then skipping to the stretch.
Only had time for 1 mile with warm up and a small bit of cool down. I think the habit of exercising (even if it is for a small amount of time) is what is pivotal for good health. I keep a habit calendar for exercise.
Hello everyone! Did the 2 mile, 30 min. High Energy Burn w/ weights this morning. Gonna lay off the Boot Camp until my back is 100%.....it did feel so much better this morning, BTW.
I did the 3-mile superwalk from the Walk-Eat-Lose series. I really liked this one, because it gave me a great sweat. The cables were pretty good. My only issue with this workout was that the leg work was lacking. I am hoping that is remedied in the 4-mile superwalk. If not, I may have to supplement on resistance days.
I did 2 miles this morning. I used the walk-eat-lose mini walks dvd.
Karen - I totally agree with you about exercise! I also have a calendar I keep for logging in my exercise. there is something rewarding to me about logging it like that. I am also a member at Leslie's website and log it there but there is something about having that calendar in my hands to mark off and look at
Annie - I'm glad your back is better! do you think that doing the Boot Camp dvd aggravated your back?
Purdue - you're doing great!
Gin - I like that 3 mile walk too! and I even notice a little soreness from it today.
Tuesday: Switched it up today and did 2 workouts, 1 Muscle Mile and 1 Booster Mile
That's an excellent idea!!
Cathy-No, I don't think the Boot Camp caused my back trouble. Sunday evening I did the ab work at the end of the DVD and kept having to answer the darn phone! It was either improper form working on that or some improper form during.....uh.....let's just say extracurricular activity....over the weekend () that caused the back spasm. I had just mentioned staying off the Boot Camp because I didn't want to make it any worse. The idea of doing the "reverse fly" and such didn't appeal to me while my back was hurting. I think I may be up to trying it out in the morning though.
Did the 2 mile, 30 min. High Energy Burn w/ weights this morning before work.
