Exercise Videos?
I'm new here, not exactly sure if I'm posting in the right forum, so please don't be mad! To be honest this site confuses me, but I'm desperate for help; especially from people who know what they're talking about.
Anyway, I don't have time to go to the gym. I don't own nor can afford a treadmill. My neighborhood is too ghetto to go for runs. So, I'm thinking work out videos? I'm trying to lose at least 20 pounds before Summer. I don't want fast paced hard core work outs because I'm HIGHLY uncoordinated, so what'd be the point in doing it if I'm not doing the video right? I'm thinking more slow paced, toning and simple videos. Any suggestions/tips? I want something effective and, if it's not asking too much, fast working. I have the eating healthy thing down, I hardly have an appetite as it is. I wanted to try The Firm, but all the reviews said that The Wave was confusing and fast paced, but effective. I don't want to buy something I can't do. |
Hi! The forum may be confusing at first but you'll get the hang of it! I moved your thread to an area we have specifically concerning fitness videos!!
The thing that comes immediately to mind is Walk Away the Pounds because it is great for beginners. The Biggest Loser DVDs are also pretty good. You could try checking some out at your local library or if you have Netflix/Blockbuster subscription, that may be an option as well. |
Well thanks! I just read all the posts about the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred? I REALLY want to try that. I'm concerned about how many said you don't see a big drop in the scale, but they lost inches? Is this because muscle mass is greather than fat, and you gain muscle through this? Not sure, but I want to lose weight! But I really what people said about it other than that one point.

Also, I don't want to lose my butt! So does losing inches mean me having a small butt? :(

Denise Austin's videos are pretty slow paced. Maybe try her "indoor walk" DVD.

I would recommend Leslie Sansone. She has 4 basic steps that she uses. She is very easy to follow. Some of her workouts include toning. Take a look at some video clips and reviews on the sites below.
