I did it for 90 days last year: It got me in great shape, I had abs.

That being said though, I still wasnt' fit enough to do pull ups or some of those insane push ups!!!

I need to restart it again soon. . . I keep saying that.

My Power Half Hour workouts are going pretty good. I did the second one tonight. I could do most of it. Still figuring out how to set up my space. I need to move things around a bit more to have room to kick, reach, etc. I thinking I am doing okay with it. I can't do everything by any means, still learning moves, etc. But it feels great. When I finish I feel alive!

Speaking of power half hour: I think I am going to start doing Tony's older workouts: the power 90 (NO X) workouts until I build up my fitness level again . . .

I did core syn. yesterday. It wasn't quite as bad as I was afraid of. I was sore at the end and I'm sore today but I was able to get through the entire thing except the Dreya Rolls (*shudder*). 1 down, 89 to go ....unless I do doubles after 30 days which I just might do.

Ha, I like Dreya Rolls!

I hate superman/banana and that boat move.

I did Legs & Back this morning, what a good workout!!

vmo1 - When your 90 days are over, maybe classic would be a good fit? I'm thinking I may do lean when my 90 days are over or I may mix it up in some other way. I really enjoy the classic rotation right now though.

I was so tired that truthfully I didn't really bring it on them...had trouble getting up off the ground lol. I didn't mind the superman banana's though. The worst part of them was the rolling hurt my shoulder a bit-doing on a thin carpet over hardwood floors, although it was easier to do them than the boat bow.
Doing the cardio in a few hours and hoping to get through it all :-)
Nelie-I think I will do classic when this is up, I really like what little I've done so far. DH is doing classic and he was doing chest yesterday. I think if I use the bands I could complete the workout after 90 days, just a little intimidated right now with all of the pushups, etc. I'm curious about plyo so I'll watch his tonight and if I do doubles I'll do lean doubles so I get to do it.

In general I love core, cardio X, and Kenpo.
The yoga one kills me! I can only do about half the moves, maybe not even half.

Made it through cardio! it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I have a hard time staying in a good heart rate zone with cardio usually, my endurance sucks so it spikes then i hyperventilate, etc. But with this one I felt at about 70-80% the entire time and made it through everything :-D And it felt like one of the shortest cardio routines I've ever done. So far I'm really loving P90X! Lol but now I'm starving so off to make my secret post workout snack.---Under 200 calories, tastes like dessert and gives me tons of energy. Yogurt+frozen(thawed) cherries+ a tiny bit of cocoa powder. Tastes like chocolate cherry pudding but tons of protein, etc. I love cherries plus after reading a study saying eating cherries/drinking juice w/in an hour of a workout helps the muscles recover faster, making you not as sore I tried it and it really works!

I actually liked the yoga. A little long but I think there was only the one move I couldn't do-the reach under the leg/behind the back and grab thing. But I've been doing yoga on and off for a while and am pretty flexible.

DogMom - I am enjoying reading here. I know from how power half hour is going that I started at the right place. I can't do every single rep this first week and I am taking my time with it, but I can see myself conquering it eventually and that is a good feeling. I'll wait until it feels relatively easy before considering investing in something else. I do like the 30 min. element, just is doable in terms of my present condition and time investment. I have a treadmill and after I finished the buns workout tonight I did 30 min. on that. It feels so good to have broken through my fog. I also am starting week two of 1700 cals. a day or less. That feels good too. I didn't even weigh. I can really do a number on myself when watching the scale so I decided that this time the numbers that count for me is calories in and minutes exercised and glasses of water drunk. So far so good.

Week 1 - Done!! I did Kenpo this morning which was nice! I am thinking about doing abs tonight because I didn't have a chance to do them yesterday as I had karate class.

ETA: Yoga done. oof! I liked it last week, not so sure today!

I'm in such horrible shape from binging during the holidays that I have to work myself up to P90X. That's why I'm doing Slim in 6, followed by Chalean Extreme, and then I plan on starting P90X. I'm afraid of not sticking to the program if I struggle too much on the first day.
