Four days in, as of today.

No lie: I'm grossly out of shape, so its kicking my butt. I'm sore. I sweat. I take many breaks. There is absolutely no way I'm not getting stronger.

I've been doing the 30ds every day without fail for the last 28 days and am now on level 3 day 8 and have lost 15.6lbs although I've also been doing a C25K programme and working out on my treadmill. But I'm still very happy with the results and think I'll continue doing level 3 pretty much on a daily basis until I feel I'm fit enough to attempt Ripped in 30.

Tinneranne2, I'm with you! I've done three level 1 workouts and today's was harder than last time. I figure I'm just sore. I feel pretty determined to get stronger and leaner. Anyway my weight stuff is out of date, my starting weight earlier this week was 167, I'm about 165, and my goal is 130. Good luck!

Would you guys recommend this for someone who doesn't work out very much? I need something to follow or else I won't do anything. Netflix used to have workout videos on watch instantly, but it doesn't anymore. I saw that the shred DVD is only $7 on amazon, and I figure Walmart probably has it for around that much.

I would recommend it, it's a good workout and its only 20 minutes. It's hard to talk yourself out of something that's so good for you and is only 20 minutes long.

Bought this last year, did for about a week. Think I'll re-try it.

This was the first thing I did, and honestly she said no modifying jumping jacks and I did. I just couldn't handle it at 245. It was quite amazing and the pics in my sig were all from this. I did drink more water. I started working and quit working out so I'm back to start thirty day shred again. It works, no matter what weight. I remember I started off slow. I think the first day I did 8 mins. And 4 of them were warm up. I started again on l1d3 now. I can do it all with no modifying. I owe my life to jm. I need to get back into losing weight, I did maintain but I am flabby. :/ Jillian will fix that for me I'm sure!!

Ok, I just ordered it on amazon... I've gone from 197 to 199 from TOM and loads of ibuprofen so that'll be out the way by the time the DVD arrives. I'd been slacking off on taking a walk every day because it was getting too easy, I was bored with my routes, it's dark outside a lot, I'm bored with my playlist because I can't connect my phone to iTunes... etc etc etc.

Hit a plateau around 200, my weight hasn't moved in a month. I seem to be convinced I have a set point at 196. But I'm not interested in that any more!

I'll come back and post my weight and measurements on day 1 and will keep you guys updated with my progress!

For the record, I'm doing Intuitive Eating with a 1400 calorie restriction that I added in the past week to curb stress eating, and my cals/carbs are working out over the week on average, so I'll be sticking with that for the duration

I've been doing 30DS for three months now. I started out very out of shape so I just tried to do Level 1 a few times a week. It stayed like that until just recently when I finally felt I was able to move on to level 2. I am on Level 2 Day 5 and I feel great! I'm not taking any break days like I did with level 1 and I can tell I've adapted much faster. So far I've lost 11 pounds. Thats along with diet and cardio. I just love Jillian! I've been thinking of trying her Ripped in 30 video once I am able to get through Level 3.

I am only half way through and being away this past weekend I have not done it. I pretty much have been bad on eating lately but have lost about 3-4 lbs. my arms do look much more tone and cut. I actually passed my goal weight so I kind of lost a little focus cause I did not want to lose more but kept losing even with bad eating. I am going to start back up and just increase my cals with better choices. I like how it has made me feel stronger. One thing though is my stomach does not seem to change but my hubby has the definition of a six pack now.

I am on Day #10 of 30 Days Shred and gained like 3 pounds! I know it is mostly muscle. I have not missed a single day. I am moving on to Level 2 tomorrow. I still struggled with jumping jacks & jumping rope (after 3rd round) but I am still going to move on to Level 2 because I am *SORT OF* getting a little bored with Level 1. I want to just move on already. I am positive that I will repeat 30 Days Shred after I am done with 30 days of this program! I LOVE it!! I feel good every time I finished exercising.

Ok, I'm back, did L1D2 today. I hurt all over! But it's good "things are tightening" pain, not bad "things are injured" pain. Actually looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. About the plateau I had at 196 - after day 1 I went down to 195, maybe because I was sweating like mad.

I posted my measurements elsewhere, but as things progress I'll let you know how I'm getting on! For now, I'm happy to be busting my plateau (I'm not eating at a surplus so can't be building muscle, but if I get a muscle-repair water weight gain I'll ignore it).

One thing I noticed right away is that my abs want to pull themselves in, rather than loosening out when I relax. The shape of things to come, I hope

Does anyone know if 30ds is considered strength training? Or is it something else?
