I'm new to this thread, I do the WATP dvd's as well. Yesterday I did the 3 mile express with the stretchy band. I am going to go try to find some more of her vids today, because I want to try something new, maybe the 5 mile.

Well chickies I did the 5 mile burn last night, my legs felt like lead for the first 20 min but I worked through it

Tonight I am going to do one of my old Firm dvd using my wieghts working on my upper and lower body...they need some tonning

cathy the 30ds is Juillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. it is hard and it breaks down into 3 sections/levels of difficulty. I am going to stop doing it I don't like her personality to much like a boot camp for me but others seem to find it motivating I am just not one of them

LINZLUV: Welcome to the thread! It's great to have you with us!

nancylmrn: Great job on your five miles! I know what you mean about lead legs! I had a hard workout today, but so glad I pushed through it!

Today I did 'Walk Slim - 4 Fast Miles'.

HollyMolly....I have been doing the 5 mile burn and you all know I love it. But tonight I did my old "firm" dvd 35min upper body, 45min lower using 3&5lb weights and step stool. Talk about heart rate moving up and sweating...darn I think I lost 5lbs in water LOL

I think I will reserve those "firm" dvd's for just a few days a week and stick to my 5 mile burn and 5 mile advanced

good morning gang

WOW EVERYBODY IS DOING GREAT!!!!

Welcome Linzluv! it's great to have you walking with us.

I did 2 miles this morning. I didn't want to do one of the 30 dvds that I already have, so I went online to exercise tv and typed in /startwalking like someone had posted last week and did the American Heart Association Start Walking at Home 2 mile workout. sometimes I just need something that I haven't done before

hope everybody has a great day!
hugs,
Cathy

Hey ladies, just checking in. Yesterday I bought WATP 2 mile walk/jog intervals. Its 30 mins long, got me very sweaty! It must have been an older video though, the filming is not that great, but who cares, as long as the work out was!

LINZLUV: I totally agree with you that it's not the filming that counts, the workout is what matters!!!

I'm just wondering....I'm thinking of trying the 1 or 2 mile walk dvd's with 1.5 lb ankle weights. Just curious if anyone here has tried that?

Leslie recommends (and I totally AGREE) that you should NOT use ankle weights while walking! Use the ankle weights while sitting or lying down for some great leg work, but it is dangerous to walk and wear weights at the same time!

I think you're suppose to put the weight on your wrists, depending how heavy they are. She has a DVD that actually comes with wrist weights.

Thanks....I've never done it, I was just curious. I use the ankle weights for the lower body workout on the Shortcuts dvd.
