Jillian "Fitness Ultimatum 2009" WII

  • Does anyone have this video for the WII game, My DH bought this in error. I wanted the Shred dvd, but this looks very interesting. I may keep it also. I still need to get the balance board I think, the guy told hubby it was necessary? Is it the same thing you would use with the wii fit game? Does anyone know.
  • Yes, you need the wii fit board. They are about $90, if you can find one. We got ours months ago, but I've heard they can be hard to find in some areas.
  • thanks dixied, do you know if it is the same board for the wii fit game, i am on a list for that, here's hoping
  • Yep - it's the same board. And with that board, you'll also get the Wii Fit game, so you'll have two fitness-based games to play around with!
  • Great, thats fantastic, now I know I will keep the dvd, thanks. Its going to drive me nuts waiting for my wii fit game
  • Hi, I nearly bought this on Tuesday and put it back when I heard the reviews. "Very ackward" and several reviews suggested getting her dvd rather instead. Do a "google" search ... I gotta tell ya, I was really disappointed but would have been more so to spend $40 on something that is recommended to be sold in the "bargain bin".
  • oh, oh, chunckymonky, I just opened it to read it, I am terrible that way. Even hubby told me to wait, but I couldn't. So i will let you know what i think, heres hoping I didn't waste $40
  • yes =---please tell me what you honestly think of the game when you get your board--- i keep picking it up at the store and i'm like well its $40 and there are negative reviews for it-- but it looks like such a great game--- i should just give in and get it --- at least it'll be a workout for the balance board---

oh and by the way the balance board is a great investment if you already own the wii---cause it comes with 40 games prebuilt into the wii fit game it comes with and it does work --- i just got mine monday and i was really sore the next day cause i put in a lot of time on it and really tried to do all of the games on it at least once-- since you start out with a few and the more time you spend on it or the more advaced you get with certain ones you release more games or harder levels since you start with beginner on all of them--- my fav. game on it is the soccer ball challenge --- you hit the soccer balls that come flying at you with your hand by shifting your body back and forth on the board while avoiding getting hit by flying shoes and panda heads--- its great you'll def. get a kick out of it--

also the yoga ones i'm not too into yoga in the first place but they aren't bad i can see myself doing them but not as often as the other games on there---but the strength ones i definetly like the selections they give you---

overall i think the wii fit gives you a total body workout as long as you incorporate a little bit of each into it--- the game itself says to put in 30-45 min daily--- which isnt hard to do when you get into it-- i just wish there were more games out for it ===

so far jillian micheals one and the wii ski are the only ones available where i live that use the board but there are more supposedly coming out--
  • oh and go ahead and buy the 30 day shred from jillian ---its a great buy and it only runs about $10-$15 i got mine for $9.95 from walmart i did the whole 30 day thing and was happy with it
  • princess2323 thanks for your reply, a little late in getting back on. I was not at all inpressed with the Jillian Wii game, but I didn't get far with it, it had some glitch in it, when I took it back they were out of them so I got a refund, which made me pretty happy. I have ordered the shred dvd, but I have not been so lucky as to get the Wii fit, they are sold out everywhere, I have my name on some lists, so I am really hoping i get one
  • Just a note, you do not NEED the board for this game. You can do everything without the board- the board just gives more visual. Apparently though its less laggy and more fluent without the board. I would give it a try!
