Hi Ladies!!

Welcome to our lil thread blackdove!! I just discovered Leslie's DVDs at the end of September, so I'm just stating my collection of WATP DVDs as well. I really like the 3 mile Walk Away Your Waistline workout with the walk belt - i found the kit at Walmart for like $12. Happy Walking!!

I did a 3 mile walk today -- including the Walk Strong DVD -- that last interval was hard to get through!

Let's finish the week strong ladies!! It's about to be FRIDAY!!

Hi ladies! I walked 3 miles today. I didn't want to, but I figured that I might as well do it rather than think about it all day!

So I'm hearing the 3 mile waistline is a big hit, huh? I might have to look into that one! Thanks (and thanks for the welcomes)!

Semi-random question: Do any of your friends think it's weird when you tell 'em you have walking DVDs? Or has that only happened to me? (haha) Of course, after I explain to them, they get it, but ya know...

hey gang

I've been working and cleaning for the past 3 days at my mom's house to get her back in after she had water in her house due to Hurricane Ike.

I'm gonna have to count that as my exercise for those days because I AM POOPED!!!!

hope everybody has a great weekend!
hugs,
cathy

I did 4 miles for the first time today. I liked how she slowed the pace gently in the last mile to bring my heart rate down. It was like a long cool down. The third mile is rough!

black dove - the people I told about my walking videos (my family) seem to think it's pretty cool. They know I don't like walking outside, so it's a good alternative for me. They're just glad I'm getting some exercise and off the couch! lol

Cathy - Your working and cleaning at your mom's house sure sounds like a workout to me!

1 mile is definitely better than nothing!! And I've done nothing this weekend -- boo me. LOL. I'm getting back on it today though. I think I'm going to do the 4 miles super challenge today -- if I don't post back in tonight or later today -- someone kick my butt too!

Hope everyone's having a fabulous day!

Cassie

Alrighty, checking back in. I did 1 mile and then went shopping for jeans. I bought a size 8!

I'm having a tiny problem that starts with the letter "h" and ends with "roids". It is so not any fun. I feel old and decrepit.

Hiya ladies - 4 mi Super Challenge complete!

Liane - A size 8!! Congrats! I can't remember the last time I wore a single digit size! That's another one that I can add to my list of goals.

Congrats Liane! I don't think I've worn anything smaller than a 12!

I did my 30-min walk DVD today. Has anyone else added 5lb hand weights with this occasionally? I do it, but only with a few of the arm lifts at the beginning. I probably would like her tone one, huh?

Anyway, so I'm patiently waiting for my new DVD. I'm told it's been shipped

Thanks! I like my new jeans. Well, I will like them after I hem them. I have like a 5" inseam LOL. I used to be a 12/14 so this is much better. I've still got a long way to go before I'm not considered "overweight" anymore, though. Oh well I'll get there eventually.

Anyone doing Callanetics? I got a book off paperbackswap.com (I get all my diet books there, btw) and I haven't tried it out yet but it looks really interesting. It's low impact too so I won't kill my knees or joints.
