  • Good Morning Walkers!!! Happy April 1st

    DH did the Men's walk with me this morning!!!! I won't say he was terribly enthusiastic, but he did it So that was one mile and then I did the 4 mile walk slim afterward.

    I picked up a knee brace last night and it helped a lot. My knee felt much better walking this morning with it on. So I'll just stick with the 5 miles I did for today and see how it goes.
  • Yesterday I did the 4 mile Walk Slim and this morning I did 3 miles jogging and 1 mile walking. I also promised the doggies a walk around the 1.5 mile block.

    My exercise totals for March was 103.75 miles. That includes walking, jogging and snowshoeing (which should count for twice the amount of miles since it's twice as hard but alas, I just stick with the actual miles). I was pleased that even with vacation and such I was over 100.

    So on to another 100 mile month. Perhaps I should aim for 120??? That would be pushing it but I might be able to do it.

    Well today I am taking the day off my total miles for March were 111 miles
    I am glad about that it feels good to look back and see all the walking that I
    did now its off to a new month hoping I can do 100 more miles

  • I was going to go walking on the track up at the park with my DD, but the weather has started turning cloudy so I did my 1 mile get up and get started. I can really tell how out of shape I am, because my legs hurt from just starting back with it yesterday, but I kept going and made it through. I don't know what will be a good goal for me this month, because I have never set one before. I guess I will go for 45 miles and see how it works out.
  • 3 mile WATP for the Abs for me tonight followed by 10 minutes on the treadmill! I'm doing a challenge on another site that is 50 minutes or more of cardio 6 days a week. Since I started it last month, I've busted through my plateau and am back to losing!

  • Thanks Michele! I meant to tell you that I noticed your weightloss and you're so inspirational to me how you keep pushing yourself, even with your very busy life.
  • I got my 100 miles in last month, but really had to work at it in the last week. Yesterday I only did the three mile with strechie band from the five mile advanced. I am about to get me shoes on and get going again !
  • I got myself out of bed this morning and did the 3 mile Walk Slim followed by 10 minutes on the treadmill (55 minutes total)! I'd REALLY like to reach 100 miles in a month, but with working full time and all the chaos of being a mom to 2 teens (taxi service), I just can't quite get there--YET! I'm hoping maybe this summer!

  • I logged 139 miles in March. I was just absolutely amazed by that total!!! I remember the first time I walked 60 miles in one month and just thought that was amazing and how would I ever top it LOL

    Only got a short 3 mile workout in today. Did the 3 mile with hand weights from the 5 mile DVD. DH had a follow up appt for his diabetes at 11:30 and by the time we got out of there, had some lunch and ran a few errands, here it is 3pm already!!! I was hoping to get some more miles in but I think I'll just go outside in a few with the kiddos and enjoy the sun and warmth. It's supposed to start raining and turn really cold again by Wednesday so we'd better enjoy any nice days we get during their spring break. Hopefully tomorrow I can ramp the #s up.

    Okay, I did 2 miles walking and 2 miles jogging (WATP) this morning. Then I remembered my pride in having jogged a half mile outdoors 8 days ago and it was so much harder than jogging in place. So, I used my son's treadmill and jogged a half mile. So 4.5 miles today. That last half mile was the hardest by far but I was so proud to do that. I'm going to add that in daily and see if the weight can move downwards.

  • Hi ladies, I'm trying hard to get exercise back on track this week. I did the Walk and Kick DVD this morning.

    Well Karen- it's all your fault-I have done WATP off and on and have never logged my milage. But when people say how did you do it I can say " I walked 100 miles each month".
    Michelle I am just lucky to be a SAHM that can do an hour of exercise. I am not sure of how I would manage it otherwise. I frankly got on the stick to lose the weight after realizing that kindergarden would start in a couple of years and I would want to go back to work.
    I have tried the jog outside thing the other night when I was walking Bob the Dog.Bob's been hanging out with me too long and is out of shape. We are starting out slow, adding an extra lap and then jogging a little bit. I don't think he will ever be back to his "coyote chasing-cow herding "weight. Bob has only been tired once on a walk. When I was due with my little one I think I wore him out.He laid down in the tall grass as if he needed a nap.
    I did three mile strechie in the morning and three mile with weights in the afternoon. I think I am going to try this arrangement for a while as I need the extra time during dd2's nap for around the house projects.

    I am going for blood work at 8am this morning I hope that all this walking has helped Ill know next week after seeing the doctor when I get back I am going to do the 3 and 4 mile walk slim
