Ready to try weight loss again

Hi,

I'm new to this site. I think I'll start here in this forum because I have 25-30 pounds to lose. Even though I don't feel like a "featherweight" I'm afraid of offending people who weigh more when I start to complain about my own weight. I haven't looked around yet but I'd like to find a place here to start a weight loss journal.

Well, I feel hideous. I recently saw some family pictures and I can't believe how wide I look. So, I think, hope, I'm ready to seriously pursue weight loss again. I had lost 20 pounds over a year and a half and was doing good keeping it off but then I took some medicine for three weeks and gained 10 pounds! How is that even possible?! I think I might ask my doctor when I go in next week. Anyway, since then I've been too discouraged to do anything about it. Plus I'm a cake decorator so that is a big obstacle against me. I did walk 25 minutes today. hopefully I can go for another walk with my husband when he comes home. Well, I'll end my rambling now. If anyone can direct me to a place to start a journal I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't know nuthin' about journals.

But I'm happy you're here.

Try the journal question way down the main page. I think there's a journal help section.

Please introduce yourself in the Welcome Featherweights thread and drop in to the tea room!

Thanks! I'll go there.

don't think you'll offend someone if you drop in on another thread. You'll be amazed at how welcome you will be! I've posted in some threads where I clearly didn't "belong" and no one ever got mad!!!! We're all in the same boat here, regardless of how much we need to lose. We've even had a few that had the opposite problem and were looking at how to safely and nutritiously gain weight without going overboard.
Welcome!~
