Thanks for encouraging me. I will drop by from time to time. Perhaps we could have a cup of tea or go out for a walk together. That kind of thing.

It's very rare that you meet someone who doesn't eat biscuits I don't eat biscuits either..... How about a nice slice of juicy pineapple? (thank you Mr Del Monte!)

Thank you. Mmm. That is delicious. What a nice place you've got here. Lovely views. Do you go walking and running along that beautiful valley?

Talking Hump Day!

Morning Chickies!

I haven't checked in since I first "introduced" myself on Sunday evening...but am happy to report that it's been going well! I went to the gym Monday night and last night...and I've been eating well too! I generally find that I eat well during the week - possibly because I'm either in the office all day or running to/from court and I tend to pack lunches. Evenings are easy too because my husband prefers healthy eating, but on the weekends we both tend to indulge - in wine and good food.

...and for some reason I operate under the mistaken presumption that weekends "don't count." Of course, the scale clearly contradicts my reasoning on Monday mornings - and hence, I eat healthy during the week to counteract my "being bad" on the weekends. I wish I could find a healthy medium...any suggestions? Also, when I'm eating junk, I tend to overlook trips to the gym... "If I'm eating X amount of calories, a half hour on the elliptical surely isn't going to do anything to put a dent in that..." More faulty reasoning! Any thoughts?

Hmmm .... how about the notion that exercise has a cumulative effect?

Mmm! I love tea, English Breakfast or Darjeeling! But, watch out if you are anemic (I dunno, someone might be) 'cause if you are, you shouldn't drink tea within three hours of eating iron or an iron supplement.

Also, funny stuff SusanB, I love to feel my muscles straining to keep up with me too. It's almost like you're outrunning or outplaying your own body.
