I am so happy for this thread! I only need to lose about 20 pounds; which may not seem like a lot.... but when it is the weight you had 9 months pregnant it hurts! I am glad to see I am not the only one with a small goal in mind.
Hello Everyone!
I have never used this kind of forum before so here's hoping I'm a fast learner I have 20 pounds to lose. My story was: became a teacher, got a job an hour from home & too much time was spent on the road instead of in a gym...lol. Fell in love, ate, bought a house...realized my pants didn't fit...lol. So here I am. I have my first weigh-in tomorrow
I hope your weight loss goes well. I haven't had kids yet, but definitely am looking forward to that! I want to get back into shape so then when I am ready it won't be so hard. What is your favourite low point snack/treat?
poundbypound - love your name. That is how it works one slow pound at
a time. This is a great group. I retired from teaching this year and I am babysitting grandsons. Welcome.
My name is Andie. I'm looking forward to losing weight and just getting to a healthier state. I'm glad for this group and this forum. I haven't decided which approach I will be using but I do know that I am not eating properly and need to exercise regularly.
I used to weigh about 125 - 130 for many years. I've hit my 40s and have developed a bad habit with fast food. I almost cried at the doctor's office when I recently weighed in at 147 lbs. I couldn't believe it was my weight and my body. I need to do something now because I can barely fit into my pants. One pair of jeans that fits just doesn't work for me.

Thanks for starting featherweights! I need to lose close to 25lbs or so (depends on how I look and feel closer to my goal) and wasn't sure where to jump in on this forum. I love that it is a BUSY forum though and look forward to making friends and growing stronger inside as we all get smaller outside!
I am new here! And i'm joining the featherweights because I need to lose maybe 25 pounds? I am excited to join! I hope to read all about everyones journeys! I am starting weight watchers and am very excited.
I'm new and so happy to be part of 3 Chicks. I'm only 4' 11" and need to lose 10+ pounds. That's a lot for my size...really! Luckily, I do get my share of exercise playing tennis and doing a lot of veggie gardening. And, if I start doing some housework like I should, that would be even more exercise! I need to be part of this group to stay motivated so thanks much for being here for me.
