January Whole30
Hi guys,
I do a whole30 every January for the past few years. I love "reseting" my mind and body especially after all the food and drinks of the holiday season. I usually am good with keeping the habits for about 6 months before I need another mini reset. I would love to have others join me! https://whole30.com/whole30-program-rules/ Its basically
I know it sounds like a lot but there a reasons behind it and they have a planned way to re-introduce them back into your diet if you like. its a great way to learn what affects your body. I learned that grains totally ruin my sleep quality and I never would have made that connection prior to the whole30 and I sleep like a baby now. |
Why no nuts? The rest seems Paleo. I eat that way year round but include nuts (almond meal mostly).

I can understand the no processed foods and sugar, alcohol, but the rest seem unnecessary.

I recently read the book "It Starts With Food" by the author of Whole30. It is a very interesting read. While I like the idea of Whole 30 and understand that we can do something for 30 days as long as we know it's not the rest of our lives, I doubt if I could omit cheese and yogurt. For the most part, I don't omit anything from my diet, but do limit certain things to occasionally. From what I've read, with Whole 30, one slip and you have to start over with day 1. I don't think I would ever reach day 30.
Good luck to you with this, Matinee, and any others who may join in with you. |

This was just to see if anyone is interested if you're not feel free to ignore.
It has changed my outlook on food and may help someone else. A big part of the reason why I bit the bullet and just did it is because of the panic giving up certain things caused me to have. I thought to myself I shouldn't be this attached to sugar or alcohol, my stomach and cravings aren't going to rule my life and I can do this. I learned I am very lactose intolerant, lots of gluten=lots of mucus build up for me and wrecks my sleep, sugar makes me irritable. |
