1/19 stupid 130 even.

I was 130 lbs for 17 years, from the time I was 17 until two years ago. During that time, I varied from a size 0 to almost a size 6. I was in the best shape of my life at 130 lbs. A lot of it has to do with body fat vs muscle.

The way that I lost some weight was by changing my diet and by cross training instead of straight cardio (circuit training at pretty high intensity, like jumping jacks where my heart rate is in the high 170's as well as sprinting/running, also up to 180 bpm heart rate, so V02 max). I am at around 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat.

The protein is from chicken breast or from designer whey protein powder, quest bars, or premier protein drinks.

The carbs are ONLY from fruits and vegetables and you want to limit your fruit to a few servings a day and stick with the lower calorie ones like berries. Also, no starchy vegetables like corn or potatoes or peas.

Fat- from almonds or almond butter, cashews, or raw almonds. Only raw nuts, nothing with added oils, or fat from whatever is in the other above foods that I eat.

This is not a diet but a way of life.

I try to stay to 1300 calories, but if I'm working out hard, I will get hungry and I will eat more- same foods. Yesterday, I took a body pump class, a step class, did 30 minutes on the elliptical, and ran for a mile and a half. So, after working out for three hours, I was at 1600 calories.

At the moment, I'm 120 lbs give or take and 20% body fat. Remember that your % fat will determine what you look like more than the number on the scale. Good luck!

I have been stuck at 127 since I returned from the ski trip. Recommitted this morning to a meal plan and I am hoping to get past this next week :)

So sorry to hear about the kids. I know personally of two households that seem to have gotten a bug last week. There was a lot of, how to put this delicately, barfing involved.

110s for me is probably like 120s for you. I'm guessing you're at a lower BMI, given your stats. Congrats! :)

How wonderful! Be safe. :)

I feel very energized in this new year. Maybe it was the great holiday season that did it. I'm not really one for New Year's resolutions, as I like to change and improve as I go, but I am going to try and seriously upgrade my approach to getting things done in a timely manner in 2015.

As a start, I ran for an hour first thing this morning, and stretched. AND I didn't turn the computer on until 11 a. m.! That's kind of the opposite of what I was doing previously, which was to turn the computer OFF AFTER "some" morning surfing. Miraculously enough, I get more done with the thing off, lol. I'll save it as a treat until after I've accomplished some things, starting today! :D
