Amethyst - The water weight rebound is always hard to put into perspective. Try your best to stay on track but also enjoy your Christmas party!

underanalysis - Good to see you again and looks like you've been doing well too! That Christmas party menu is...ridiculous. We always have plenty of crap at our company party, but there's always veggies and such too.

skittles - Welcome to the 130s!

I was still at 139.8 this morning. I'll take it with how I've been eating. It's so frustrating, yet at the same time my desire to be healthier and thinner isn't overcoming my desire to feel better via food. I did go for a "run" this morning, in quotes because it's more of a walk/jog.

Our company Christmas shindig is tonight, but I'll quit pretending I'm a poor grad school student and be skipping out on the free food for pho with my boyfriend. It'll be more enjoyable/satisfying than picking at the buffet anyway. I have another Christmas party tomorrow after I ring handbells. I'm not sure how I'll fit into my dress pants for my conference right after the New Year...

Up one pound to 129.
I decided to take a "Free" Day yesterday, and ate everything and anything I wanted. I went to lunch with a friend and had Thai curry over coconut basmati rice, Cashew Crackle (a.k.a. Christmas crack b/c it's pretty addicting), and fishsticks with a honey, butter corn muffin, & salad with my kiddos. Probably close to a 2000 calorie day. Did a hard work out afterward, but knew the scale would be up and was okay with that.
I was on plan at or below 1200 calories for the last 10days :)
My plan is to cut calories the next 3 days, then stay on plan until Christmas (which will be my next free day).

Skittles - Nice to have you here! Congratulations :)

Underanalysis - Fried is a very bad word. It's hard to satisfy everyone at a Christmas Party, but that menu is ridiculous! Good for you for skipping out. And nice to hear from you :)

Hello all, I am new to this thread.
I saw 129 a few days but the scale has been bouncing between 130-131.
I'll check my weight Monday morning, and will try to be good this weekend.
Heading to a few bars so my plan is to limit myself to two white wines per evening, and alternate with water.

Party was as bad as expected. Pizza was delicious but of course I'm paying for it. Today I'm eating as a break from writing my final paper, so that sucks.
132.4 not as high as I expected consdering.

Strict diet from here through Christmas. One treat for Christmas (either I'm going to make shortbread or I'm going to have my grandmother's pb choc rice crispy squares).

128.5 this morning. Geesh, one 'free day' and it takes 2-3 days to get it back down. Unusual eating today - Had a 500 cal pita sandwich at noon (no breakfast, got busy), a cookie at my son's first piano recital, breakfast for dinner, and string cheese + pear to ward off the late night cravings. Came in below 1200, and will do the same tomorrow, cut cals, but eat more veggies and more consistently! No exercise today.

Amethyst - Glad you suffered minimal damage :) We can do this....strict diet until Christmas, then a little splurge! PB choc rice crispy squares sound tasty!

Underanalysis how was your party? Good planning! It doesn't have to revolve around food. Although mine was a sit down dinner so I might get some looks of remarks.
Kifli, it is virtually impossible to put on a pound of real fat in a day, unless you had a 3500 cal binge, so you'll lose it again. Trying to remind myself the same.
Didn't weigh today. Ate a lot but gluten free. That should help me get back to where I was. Will be better tomorrow.

129 today. Up again.
I think I'm getting a lot of salt lately as I have been eating out a lot. I did stay below my calorie range though yesterday. Today, ate a lot but got 30mins of cardio and later a pilates workout in. More salt :(

Darn! I managed to eat Chocolate Cashew Crackle and a piece of my husband's pizza minutes before hitting the sack! Mad at myself today. Numbers are hovering and I need to cut to lower them. 128.5

Up to 139 today but I only ate twice yesterday roast beef with gravy for breakfast and then Pesto pasta with grilled chicken and garlic bread for dinner

Not a good eating day yesterday, but I tracked it all in all it's calorific cringe-worthiness. I don't know what it's going to take for me to say enough, but I'll keep trying.

Had a great dance class yesterday, though. I wish more people would sign up for the beginner reel in the competition next month. Not only do I need to perform well, but we need at least 5 dancers in a competition for it to count for advancement if you place 1st or 2nd. I really want to get my last beginner dances out of beginner.

I have been struggling too. No real weight loss this last week.
Will try to cut cals today for a new low tomorrow...but the way it has been going, who knows?

Atmos - That is awesome you can burn cals and do something you like. I love dance, and love to watch it. However, I'm one of those who has no coordination or rhythm whatsoever. I admire those who have it :)

Hi everyone,

I haven't been making the best food choices. I need to take some time to plan healthy options and be prepared.
I am cutting down on my sweets because last week some days I ate a sweet at every meal. Yesterday I did eat a large cookie (290cal) and (1/2c) ice cream with whipped cream (~ 300 cals). I'm not going to ban any foods. I should have skipped the cookie.

129 today, same as last weigh in last Saturday.

Happy Holiday - I don't ban either. I have to have sweets or I totally fall off the wagon. Plus, I enjoy them, so as long as I keep within my calorie range, I'm okay :) Being prepared for the other meals is definitely a good idea!

New low. Hoping to make December goal of 125. Down 6.5 pounds this month, which may be a little too fast of loss (definitely nothing I have ever had to worry about in the past, lol). Personal stress is horrible, but working in my weight loss favor. Worked out this morning, and eating properly so far today :)

Ended yesterday with 1160 calories, and an ab/lower body workout in the am.
Todays plan: eat on plan and catch up on sleep with an afternoon nap (hoping).

126.5 today.

Worked out yesterday, but ate a piece of cherry cheesecake before bed, putting me a few hundred over count.
Was going to wait until I finished the Fitness Blender 8week fat loss program, then start P90X (still unwrapped and purchased a year ago). Debating if I should start it now or January1? Decisions.

After being 129.8 (130) for two weeks, the scale reads 128.8 today (129).
I have done some workouts, skipped some workouts, had days where I drank nearly enough water, and days where I counted wine and beer toward my liquids. I have had 2400 calories days, 1600, 1800, 1900, 2200...
I have been thinking of attempting to reduce calories to 1200-1500, but I'm a bit afraid because I recall I stopped losing until I began eating more.
I'm going to at least try to eat better foods and plan meals more, so I don't keep eating things that were not worth it.

Amethyst - I took a few days break at Christmas and now I am having a terrible time getting back into it. There were a lot of high calorie snacks, desserts and leftovers from Christmas and I have been tempted every time I get hungry. Thankfully it's almost gone and I finished off the chocolate cream pie this morning for breakfast...590 cals a slice :/ Unbelievable.

128 this morning, but feeling thankful it's not higher.

Yes, only 1 pound up. We went to a Mexican restaurant tonight per the 6yo's request. I ate only a half portion, but the salt gets me every time. We shall see tomorrow the damage done. I will go grocery shopping tomorrow, so that I can get back on planned meals. I'll be joining you again, in this weight loss mission :)
