Before and Afters?

I was browsing the goal forum, before and after photos, and they're all very inspiring, but not too many featherweights there. I wanna know how much difference that ten or twenty or thirty pounds might make, visually. Are there any people around here who have posted before and afters with fewer pounds lost? Or any people willing to do so?

Krampus, you look fantastic!

Cacaphony, I wish I had some pictures because our stats are so similar. I have been down to 125 as recently as April (!) but had some regain. I can tell you, the difference between 139 and 125 is considerable. Love handles, bra overhang, belly pooch all shrink dramatically in that zone (at our height). Your tightest jeans now will be way too big -- you'll be able to pull them on and off without unbuttoning.

So take your "before" pictures now! You won't believe the difference!

I can not figure out how to post pictures!

Wow, Krampus, you look great! And I love your sense of style, before and after!

Yeah, I'm hoping I'll lose the belly and thigh pudge, thesame7lbs.

That is a great look at a before and after...

I was thinking I was golden at 139......but am considering lowering my goal weight again......maybe. ;-) I don't want to deal with more loose skin etc. I keep going back and forth.

Thanks for sharing your photos.

I haven't been around this forum much recently as I have been very far off the wagon, but slowly climbing back on board... I have photos from 152 lbs down to 137, but I haven't managed to go lower than that for any extended time for a couple of years now. If I ever do so, I will definitely post.

HERE is a great before and after photo - 5'6", from 132 to 121- and she focused on strength training. Fantastic!

Good luck to you. And yes, take "before" photos so you will see the difference.

I wonder how sumire is doing!

Thank you for compliments, up close I still have all the same trouble spots as I ever did and now I have new loose skin, but it's worth it. Also I have really small bones and no T&A so I think "normal" people would have comparable BF% and distribution at higher weights.

I posted my weight in the mini goal album at 149, 139 and 129 and will be updating mine with my newest weight. I skipped 119 and hit 118.4 this am so that will show 30 lbs lost in ten lb increments. If my right click was working I would post a link for you but it shouldn't be hard to find if you click on my username and search threads I have started.

Krampus you look awesome! Great thread idea cacaphony. As of today, I’ve reached my goal!! Well, my current goal… I still might want to lose a tiny bit more.

Sorry I don’t have any really good quality before/after pics - or any in-between pics. I didn’t notice my clothes getting looser until around 122ish. From 120 to 110 is when I noticed the biggest difference in my body/clothes.

Since I am compulsively searching for inspiration, I have been looking at a lot of before and afters. HERE IS SARALYNN'S POST. Amazing, by the way. You look great!!

To break away from scale weight for a moment, THIS is one of my favorite visuals that shows the benefits of strength training! Left photo 131 lbs; she actually gained 11 lbs to 142 in the right photo. Body courtesy of some serious weight training.{ETA: sorry for the huge size, I sized the photo down but it posted large anyway}

Thanks Krazy and Sarahlynn. You both look great, and this is really beginning to give me an idea of what I'll look like and it's a nice idea.

EmmaD - read her story, thanks. Nice to see the extra waist definition in the after photo

Sarahlynn 10-02-2013 08:24 AM

I added my most recent pics to my thread. Thanks for posting the link here EmmaD.

I love the strength training before and after and thanks for sharing it. I really want to focus on strength training more so than the number now that I am closer to goal. I know that it would make a huge difference on my arms which is my trouble zone. It always amazes me how big a difference it can make even without much weight loss or in the case of the before and after you shared with a gain.
