How to make up for a bad night?

So I have been doing so well with my diet for the past weeks but I had a slip up last night. I had a girls night and ended up having half a bottle of wine and multiple spiced run and diet coke. At the end of the night of course I was hungry....and had a huge slice of meat lovers pizza ( it was the best slice of pizza I had in a loooong time too haha)

This morning I feel super bloated, and guilty for the drinks and food. What do you do when you have a slip up to feel better? I'm gonna go for a 5k run later and was considering maybe doing a Bikram yoga class just to "sweat it out". Any other suggestions? Do you have any special thing you do to try and make up for bad choices?

Sometimes I just eat a little less for the next few days to make up for it, depending on the "damage", exercise a bit more too. But really, half of the time, I just chalk it up to a bad night and move on, keep stay on plan because that's life, you know? Granted, you'll probably be up in weight for up to a week, mostly water then after that you'll know if you truly gained or not.

Oops! Didn't realize you posted in featherweights. Don't mind my post since it is a bit different at being a lower weight, I would think since being bigger means I kinda have more wiggle room as far as calories go. It sounds like you had a blast last night, lol.

A 5k run and a possible yoga class sounds like more than enough penance to me... :)

But seriously I just try and not let a few "bad"decisions (and yours don't sound that bad btw...) turn into a few more "bad" decisions if you know what I mean...

Do the right thing... And the next right thing will follow...

First, it does sound like you had a blast! :)

Usually, I go for something light the next day (lots of veggies and frequently something meatless for dinner), have a good workout and drinks a lot of water for the next 2 days so the water retention can take its leave.

But most of all, you had a fun night and you enjoyed the pizza... Don't put too much guilt on yourself because you over did it a bit, we need some thing like that from time to time! :)

Oh god. I'm going to be thinking about that for the rest of the day. :(

Thanks ladies! I'm over it now and back on track :) No more pizza for me this week!
