OH my... I need a huge vote of confidence!
Hi all! IDK if any of you will remember me. I was around last year I think I joined around this time actually. Anyways, I was doing pretty well and my ticker reflects where I was around new years time. After that I was doing pretty good staying at 145 or under at least, maintaining without going higher again which was OK though not ideal for me. Then my wedding happened. Oh boy.
It ended up working out that the day I had my fitting I was bloated. Well, when I tried my dress on it fit perfectly. My seamstress told me I was NOT to lose any weight... well, of course that time of the month started and I woke up the next day a few pounds lighter! So I actually ended up putting on weight for my wedding. Crazy right? Unfortunately I did a great job of it, and was back at 150 to fit into my dress... but since then I have continued to add weight :( So I'm up to 156, which is the highest I have ever been. Ever. I'm getting so frustrated because I don't fit in to a lot of my clothes. I started going to my gymnastics class again but I've ended up missing weeks often due to exhaustion (Wednesdays are just bad for me) or money (it's pay per week so if I don't go one week, my bank account appreciates it)... Anyways I need a big kick in the butt really to get back on track. My husband doesn't help at all... he is obnoxiously lazy and it does NOTHING to help motivate me to be more active. So grr. Thankfully my gym recently opened a new location that is closer to me that has a pool, I had joined when I worked right down the road from their other location with a pool but haven't gone in ages cause it's a 30 minute drive. So I'm hoping now with a pool closer I will go more often. I am just so frustrated with myself :/ ~Katy |
Welcome back! It's good to see you have not given up. Remember that you can only fail if you quit trying, right? What about walking? Starting small is often helpful. Just make gradual changes, and eventually they will start to be habits. Don't give up!

I hadn't really considered walking. Walking bores me, so I would never stick with it. Unless I can get someone to go for walks at the park with me, but that can only happen on weekends what with my schedule. Some days I have breaks between clients where I've started going to a park and walking or swinging on the swings, so that should help. I also need to dig up my rollerblades from wherever my husband put them away to and start going around the neighborhood again.
