Just realized that I am ovulating tomorrow and Tuesday, I am expecting 1-2 pound gain. Shucks, darn hormones So I don't expect to see 135 by Tuesday. I expect to bounce between 137 and 138, even if I behave. I feel the bloat settling in already, ugh.

Keep at it! I'm sure you'll feel great when you get a post-bloat woosh!

I did my first day of the second phase of my lifting program. It was tough but I feel so great for it! Unfortunately with that comes a lot of hunger. I'm over my calories but still under maintenance so I'm feeling good overall.

Nice atmos! What kind of a lifting program do you follow?

Okay I totally pigged out yesterday; with that and ovulation, scale jumped to 137.8

Today is my volunteer day, I will be sitting all day which means more water gain. I just hope I won't go above 140!

Hello all. I just wanted to say hi. I've just joined so that I can keep accountable.

I've recently put on 10lbs over the last 6 months and was already heavier than I wanted to be.

I figure the featherweights is the best place for me. I'm short so struggle in real life if I mention wanting to lose weight. Most of the weight has gone to my stomach and boobs and I dress to hide this so friends and family aren't aware of just how uncomfortable i'm feeling.

My weight is a guess as I haven't got my digital scales with me.

21 April - 134lbs

I'm following New Rules of Lifting for Women. This is my first attempt at serious "heavy" lifting...heavy in quotes because what is heavy for me probably is quite light for many others! By heavy I mean more than the 5 lbs dumbbells/high reps. I've always had a weak upper body and I'd like to improve that.

I finally finished the first set of exercises and have moved on to the second set. My glutes are quite sore today, as are my arms! I can only lift 2 days a week max due to my dance class schedule, but I'm hoping I'll continue to improve and strength anyway and maintain my muscle mass as I slowwwwwly lose weight.

StarGirl1 Hello and nice to have you here.

Atmost The most important thing is that you are lifting! What ever heavy means to you!! I am like you, my upperbody is weak. I use machines and put on as much weight as I can handle. I am finally starting to see some results on my upper half. What comes to my legs; they are strong as tree trunks.

Shrinking Did you meet your Tuesday's goal? I did not, but with ovulation here, it was impossible anyways.

------------

I have a new low. Today is my 15th day of my cycle and the main ovulation day. I am so surprised that my scale actually co-operated. I whooshed 1.8 pounds down from yesterday's weigh in. Wonder if I will have a mini whoosh days to come once ovulation passes. That would be amazing!

My NSV is that I am size 6 now. And I am so happy!! My ultimate goal is to be size 4. I spent the entire winter rebuilding my summer wardrobe, in size 6. Most of them fit now. A few items were a tiny bit snug, but another 4-5 pounds will make them fit perfect, just in time for warmer weather.

Today;
136.0
Down 1.8 pounds

Ate really late last night, around 10 pm; I went to the gym and was not hungry before hand but starving afterwards.

136.4

Mine too! My main activities are hiking, Irish dance, and I try to bike for transportation whenever I can. So those legs are always working working working while more poor arms languish.

Congrats on the size 6! I would love to be there someday, but I'm not sure if it's possible with my hips. I'm a size 8 or 10 depending on the brand on my lower half, size 4 on the top. Sigh. I'm hoping if I make my goal of reducing my body fat percentage I'll at least be a comfortable 8. Finding size 10 short jeans is very difficult, especially where I live.

atmost Where do you live, if I may ask?

Yes, size 6 feels heavenly! Not all of them fit though, I don't like snug clothing. I think I need to say good byes to my 10's they hang on me. I think I will wear some of my size 10 shorts this summer with a belt (...depending how much weight I lose by summer...if I lose another 10 pounds then I belt won't do the trick). -- I simply don't want to buy million new pairs (unless they are size 4). The size 10 shorts are a little big, but don't look totally gross Belt will do wonders, if I stay at this weight. Pants are goners though, the seat looks so saggy.

I am a bit top heavy and the size 8 fits me perfect right now. I do take size small on tanktops.

My ultimate goal is 4. 2 is too small, I can not sustain that sort of a weight, plus I am 46 years old. I think I would look too skinny at size 2. So 4/6 is my goal.

What size are you ladies shooting for?

It took me forever to get out of the 12's and 10's... 8 went by kind of quickly, wonder if 6 does the same thing. It feels like the smaller I get the quicker the sizes go down.

I live in Colorado near Denver. It's a very active area with many professional athletes and a lot of thin people. I finally found jeans that fit by going south towards the city and finding a Maurice's and Old Navy at the mall, but that was only after trying to find jeans my size in town for about a month. The selection in the 8 or larger size range is lacking, because it's not a very common size. Especially for a shortie like me!

If the size 10s don't work, maybe you can find some stuff in a consignment shop? I've tried that, but unfortunately as I mentioned the sizes are much smaller here! Some places are really great about only buying very gently used items. I've gotten some nice stuff from Plato's Closet. I'm not sure how widespread they are.

We just visited the Evergreen area near Denver. Absolutely loved it!

I ate quite a bit yesterday, 137.0 on my scale.

No weigh-in for me today. I ended up eating a lot at the Pampered Chef party I went to. I did not want to be disappointed this morning.

My weight is settling back down now that TOM is over. Been eating fairly well.

Not so great on the exercise again this week. A family member is dying (I hates me some cancer ) so the focus this week has been on doing what needs to be done and not soothing myself with food. I've spent more evenings curled up on the couch watching movies and going to bed early with a book than doing workouts, but that's life. *shrugs*
