Loose skin or soft fat?
Hey everyone,
Recently, I've noticed that the skin on my inner thigh has changed. It feels a lot softer and I can move it about more easily because it feels stretchier (I know this sounds gross but I'm trying to describe it). I was wondering if it's loose skin or just fat. It doesn't look like conventional loose skin, I mean doesn't hang or anything (infact unless i pull on it or fold it, it looks the way it always has done) it just feels... Softer than it used to. I haven't lost enough weight to suffer with real loose skin and I'm young (22) so I don't think my skin has lost a significant amount of elasticity which makes me question if it really is loose skin. And if it is fat, is the change in consistency and feel a sign that it's slowly being lost (and i just didnt notice on the rest of my body) or am I just imagining the whole thing? I basically just wondered whats going on and if anyone else had this? |
I get that. When I start to lose weight, my spare tire deflates and becomes (i think) more noticeable. I think its just the way the fat cells shrink, and it will eventually even out and firm back up again.

that was happening to me too. the skin shoud catch up eventually.
I do have actual loose skin though, but for the most part the skin caught up. I found the best way to find out if it's loose skin is to take a bath or go in the pool. If the skin sort of floats there...it's loose skin  |
I've found the same thing.. it seems like my body is getting flabbier the more I lose. but as long is it catches up eventually, I can deal with some initial jiggliness!

Working on toning should help with that as well.

I have the same problem - couldnt tell if it was fat or skin. but i decided either way its got to go, still figuring out how to do that if it is loose skin.... going to try the bathtub test tonight.
