Cost of buying new clothes

Anyone with issues related to the cost of buying new clothes? I keep going down in sizes and now my size 6's are too big, and my size 4's are roomy..I cannot keep up with this financially!

Well if you still are losing weight then you aren't truly in maintenance. Time to adjust something!

You and me both, sistah!

It's not that I'm losing below goal, as much as it is that I think my body just keeps tightening up. I never, EVER, thought I would be a 6. Been there, done that now! A 4? No way! Now those 4s are too roomy. My one pair of 2s were T-I-G-H-T, and now I'm sitting here in them comfy-cozy.

Sigh. It's not a bad problem to have, but when you don't really plan on getting smaller and you need clothing, it can really add up! Plus, since I thought there was no way I'd be this size, I bought NICE clothing is all size 4-6 and smalls. Much of it is too big now.

Thankfully hubby is supportive, and since I only hope to lose 4-5 more pounds, I don't see going down that much more, especially since my body fat% is already low.

Me either! I can't keep up with it financially! It's one of the reasons I'm stopping around now. I'm really happy with my body and I just want to be able to buy some clothes. I'm not completely happy (I hate my gut) but I know no matter how much weight I lose that I'll never be completely happy with my body.

Not to mention that since I'm large-framed that I really can't lose much more anyway.

I want to maintain for a while and see where it takes me. I'm also hoping to give my body some time to adjust because I have extra skin on my stomach.

Look at your food intake and get very meticulous about it. After eating on the low end for a long time you are probably used to eating less food. I'm having the same issue where I find I'm just so used to eating less that I'm having a hard time adding more.

Oh gosh me too. I never thought I could even get down to a six, let alone 4s and 2s and yet here I am wearing them comfortably...

Like I said in your other thread, you aren't eating maintenance - you were confusing BMR with maintenance. Your maintenance is higher than what you thought (you wrote 1300ish). You are still eating in a deficit.

Yep, time to add more calories unless you want to keep losing. What I did (I started at a size 14 and am now in a 4/6, moving towards more 4's and less 6's, is to buy cheap clothes from Old Navy in the sizes I didn't plan to stay in and then more expensive clothes in the 4's since that is my goal. I have one pair of pants that I want to fit into comfortably and then I'm done. I think I have 5 lbs to go.

If you have nice, barely worn, name brand stuff that is now too big, you can always ebay it.
