How about.... a list of things that make us awesome?

I thought we could use a thread to remind us things that are great about ourselves that have nothing to do with appearance, a confidence boost we can keep with us even on our "fat" days.

I don't know anyone on here yet, but it would be great to also post what makes each other awesome since we don't always give ourselves enough credit!

What makes me/my life awesome:
I am smart, and have a certification that's relatively rare to have.
I have a husband that loves me an treats me well (it's nice not having to worry about impressing boys!)

I have been with the same man for the last twenty years (14 of them as his wife) - a rarity in today's world.

I am a good stay-at-home mother to our two sons, ages 9 and 6.

I am told by people in my offline life that I have a wicked sense of humor.

I'm a good daughter to my elderly father and a good older sister.

I am a strong young mother to my 16 month old son.
I am also a full time student, 2 years away from my BA.
I also hold a job at 30 hours a week.
Yet still manage to juggle it all and enjoy life.

Ten years ago, when I married my husband, I made the smartest decision of my life.

Even though my degrees are in unrelated fields (pushed on me by my parents), I eventually pursued my true interest and now am able to be self-employed while doing work I love AND staying home with my kids.

I think I've struck a pretty good balance between encouraging my kids to be independent, while still providing them with the love and support they need.

I'm smart, funny, and pretty darn cute. ;)

Nice thread! Always good to think about for a little bit. My life is not where I want it to be right now, and it won't be untill I graduate in a year. But let's see what makes me awesome still... hihi

- I have TONS of experience as boardmember for several youth organizations and with cool jobs in the governant/politics field at 26 already
- I am weird, but carry my weirdness in a way that makes people like me most of the time
- I am for the first time in my life making a real attempt at 'sports' and I am just doing it! (nike-style ;))

fitmom thats awesome you have been together for so long! I hope I can say the same in 19 years :)

mamamorgan WOW that is a lot to be doing all at once! School is challenging enough, and working 30 hours with a young child. Kudos!

banananutmuffin congrats on 10 years! And how great that you found what you love to do AND are making a living at it from home!

philana it sounds like your career is really taking off! And being weird is a good thing- I always tell my office manager, if I wasn't so crazy work would be a LOT more boring haha.

This is a good idea! You ladies are really awesome!

Well what makes me awesome? I'm a fast learner, I'm smart and I don't think twice before I help another person. :)
