Yay!
So not only is it Friday, not only do I have off this wkend, and not only am I headed to the beach after work - I have one more cause for celebration.
I gained 30 lbs a couple years ago after going on an SSRI (Paxil) for anxiety issues. I got up to 156, if I remember correctly. Anyway. Before I gained the weight I had my all time favorite EVER pair of jeans. They look good on me. Comfy. Fit just right. You know, the whole nine yards. Obviously after I gained, I couldn't even get them up past my thighs, let alone enough to suck in and squeeze in them. Lol. But for some reason I held on to them, determind to get back in them - and they have laid in the bottom of my closet. This morning I was getting ready for work & could not for the life of me find any jeans/pants to wear for work. They are all too big for me now, and while I can wear them, they are way baggy and look ridiculous. So, I see my old fav pair of jeans on the floor. I stare them down... & say to heck with it. They aren't going to fit, but let's see! I put them on... and they go RIGHT on. I mean, I didn't have to shimmy into them. Didn't have to put butter on my legs. Didn't have to suck in. Nothin! And they buttoned perfect. I am so stoked right now! I haven't lost all the weight I originally gained, but it goes to show, when you diet & exercise, it may not always show in the numbers (as you may be adding muscle) but you could VERY well be slimming down & toning up! Anyway, I hope all you ladies have a great Friday & even better weekend! Keep to it, it works :) |
That's awesome!! Getting into those favorite pair of jeans is the end-all be-all for most women. That's gotta feel great. :) What a way to start off a Friday.
