St. Patrick's Day Goals!
All right, folks! Did you love the Valentine's Day goal thread? Time to goal up again! :D
SPD is only about a month away, so I know for me I want to keep it pretty sensible and doable. Though I'd love to say I aim to get down to 120, I know that's a little scary, so I'll say 121 instead. Three pounds in about four weeks, I can totally do that. Who else is closing in on some magic number they'd like to see before the wearin' o' the green? |
Unfortunately, I fell hard off the wagon in the last almost week or so (due to an injury that really derailed my dependence on working out). My goal for St. Patricks' Day is to get back down to the 164 that my ticker says. Today is my first day back on plan. I just need one good day to get this body back on track. I plan to take a break from working out until my body heals and my goal is not to depend on exercise to manage my relationship with food. I'm going to do my best to stay focused. One way I do that is by meditating three times a day. Sounds hokey, but it really helps me. I started up again this morning and I already feel a whole lot better! :) Thanks for setting up this challenge!

I'm aiming for 152. Less than 10 pounds, I know I can do more than 5; but I don't want to aim for ten when I haven't made it there yet. Just gotta keep working hard to get there!

I don't want to get too optimistic. I'll say "under 125." I think I'm solidly about 130 after all the overeating so it may take a while.

Krampus, I feel your pain. I'm hoping this kind of a challenge will help us both.:hug: I really appreciate your support on the chicks in control group. I've been embarrassed to update my situation since I always seem so determined and then I don't make it. However, tonight, I feel it's different. This time, I mean it! ;)

Well, I pretty much love signing up for challenges and never make my goal so I am a bit reluctant to have that happen AGAIN. :( That said, I will be seeing friends on March 19th for a St Patty's party and already had a goal in mind. I won't have seen a lot of these people since NYE and that night I weighed about 139/140.
Today I am 138...I wanted to see 132 by St. Patty's but now it seems aggressive...so I am going to relax that to "under 135." That means a pound a week for the next month, hope I can do it. |

When is St. Patrick's Day? I haven't celebrated it in years! It's about a month away? I will go for "in the 120's" for SPD. I would love to see 128 by mid March. That's about 5 pounds.

OK, on V-day I was 141.6 My dh bought me a box of choccies and some Amaretto as part of my pressie. The chocs are gone already, and the Amaretto is going down, but amazingly I was at 141.4 this morning.
But I hope to maintain this week with my goodies, and lose 3.4 pounds over the following 3.5 weeks to St Patty's Day. It would be 3.5 but my scale only weighs in 0.2 increments. So my goal is 138.2. |

How's everybody doing so far? I started a new calorie counting regime and have managed to get to 122 already, so I may readjust my goal downward a little bit.
I'm so close to my final goal (115) and only a couple of pounds away from what I'm going to set as my "red line weight" (118)!!! 3FC has totally made this possible, folks. I want to thank you all for your support and how kindly everyone in the feathers group interacts with each other. :hug: You guys are the best. |

Wow, I have no idea why I was so optimistic when I first posted in here. 123.8 by SPD? Really Chelsey? My goal is to be at 126 by then. Is that doable?? I am currently 130.4. What do you all think?

Thanks Kat!! I like your philosophy. I really hope I can stay on plan do it. I cant really tell what my true weight is since I never got TOM and dont know if I have water weight from when I was supposed to have it. Its strange!
I just CANT WAIT for the day that I start noticing it in my legs. I have never stuck with a weight loss plan long enough for it to lose in my legs. I always end up giving up around 128 and that gets rid of face, stomach and a very little from my arms and legs. I am hoping once i start losing past 128, ill really start to see it come off my bottom half!! Fingers crossed :) |
I'm going to go for 124.4 so 3 ish # to go. I'm going to really restrict calories its so hard to lose the last few pounds. I'd love to have a red line of 125 and end up at 120 ish. But I doubt I can get 7 or 8 more off. I was loosing at least 2 # a weeek until I hit 134....

I don't know if this helps, but check out your calves. I do notice some nice toning there before I ever notice it in the upper leg. Maybe that'll comfort you until your thighs figure out what's going on. ;) |
I'm back to 139 the past few days...it's TOM, so might be why. But I was sad to see no loss but a gain from 138-139 from last Sat-Sat. I was hoping to see 137 to be on track with my SPD goal.
I am starting to think I am doing something wrong. I am definitely staying under 1500 calories and shooting for 1300 now. I was so happy to finally see 138 and it lasted all but a week. I don't get it. :( |
I'm bigger on the bottom half too. I think unless I starve myself into impossible realms of unsustainable skinniness I'll always be "meaty" as far as my legs are concerned. At 126 my thighs still touch when I put my ankles together, even if I'm running quite a bit.
I measured my wrist for the first time today. 5.1 inches. That's a really small frame. No wonder everything is still flopping around and I have so many inches to pinch around the middle. |
