Need a ruling/opinion, please...

I've been hovering about 1 to 3 pounds above goal for several weeks. This week is TOM, and I ate a bit more than I had planned on yesterday.

So I weighed myself this morning, and it said 144.8.

I rubbed my eyes and stepped off. Stepped on again--144.8.

My scale sometimes varies by a pound or more, so I shifted the scale, walked away, and came back. Noted about a dozen weights, all between 144.8 and 145.2. Based on TOM, and based on the way one particular ring fits, I have no reason to think this is an abnormally low reading.

Now, my "official" weigh-in day is Monday. So, did I make it to goal? Or do I have to wait for my official Monday weigh in?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'd really appreciate your opinion!

Call it! You've done it.

Let me be one of the first to say CONGRATULATIONS!

Lol! Well, I'm no scientist, but it sure sounds like it! I guess if you want to be cautious about it, if you weigh in at your goal for 2 or 3 or 5 or 7 days going forward, then absolutely without argument you're at your goal....unless you want to somehow convince yourself that the scale must be broken. (Been there, done that myself...) Congratulations!!!!

Well, not to be a wet blanket, but.....

I usually have to see it for a few days before I count it. Ironically, that does not apply for gains! LOL

But congrats. seeing it even once is enough to do a happy dance

I would count it! I feel like if you see it on the scale (assuming you didn't just recover from having the stomach flu for a week or something) that it's at least attainable for your body, and you can expect to see it again soon. It might be your "dehydrated weight" but it's still within your weight range.

Congrats! :)

Do whatever you want! It seems like a "real" reading to me! :)

Um, however. :) Personally, I've only ever recorded and counted those weigh-ins that are on my official weigh-in day (Monday). I weigh every day, but only Mondays get recorded. So if it were me (and it's not!) I would be really happy and excited, and still not count it until my official weigh-in.

Thanks to everyone for your input (and congratulations). I am a very cautious person by nature, so, while it's really exciting to see my goal weight for the first time, I'm going to hold off on my "goal" post until I record it at an "official" Monday weigh-in.

Have patience! Your "official" weigh-in is only a few days away. Be excited, but wait. No matter the number, Congrats!! You have worked really hard and deserve the victory!

Update

My weigh-in yesterday was borderline (ranged from 145.2 to 145.6). When my Monday weigh-in is borderline (especially at the end of TOM), I make Tuesday my "official" weigh-in.

Ranged from 144.8 to 145.2 this morning. I'm there! Will probably make my "goal" post later today.

On to the next phase!
