So Frustrated with this Weight Loss Journey!!!!!!!
Last week this time, I was jumping up and down because the scale showed me that I was down 30lbs. I was so excited that I was so close to goal, that my efforts were paying off, that I could now actually see my vanity goal of 158lbs.
I watched what I ate this week, drank even more water, exercised even more and woke up this morning 3lbs heavier! I took my measurements - no change! I know its not TOM - that came and went. I am sooooo frustrated! Why does this happen? Just when I thought I had a handle on things and was almost there! I don't know what more to do! I know giving up is not an option, I have come too far to stop now but still ............. |
Just keep doing what you are doing. Or maybe change it up. Go up to heavier weights, add a little extra cardio.
As you can see from the approximately 9,387 threads with almost this exact same title and subject weight fluctuates because our bodies are not mathematical equations. Just keep keeping on. |
Question -- how do you feel in your body, and in your clothes? Sometimes, when the scale registers the same number as before, or even higher , I feel thinner... and even get feedback from other people. Then, I think about it -- at a certain point, do I care what the scale says? I mean, honestly, if I *look* like I'm 115 pounds, would I care if the scale said I was 400 pounds? Not really.
You lost 30 pounds, which is awesome. You look awesome (I know I've seen your photo on here!) You have made progress. Sometimes the scale registers a little higher for some reason. If I weigh myself at an odd time of the day for me, especially on a day I haven't gotten enough sleep, it will sometimes register me a pound or two higher. I get a little annoyed, sigh a little, and get off the scale. I look in the mirror, and see how I feel in my clothes, and I know the truth. I look at my jeans size -- a size I couldn't have dreamed of wearing when I first started this. The clothes you wear now? Could you have worn them 30 pounds ago? How do you get to the point you are now? By what you've been doing, right? So keep on doing it!! It'll get better... promise, swear! Just hang in there... we all have days -- sometimes weeks and weeks -- like that. |

I know how frustrating it can be when the number on the scale seems to bounce around without rhyme or reason. Goodness knows mine does it often enough to get whiplash from all the bouncing around. Bleh. You've been working hard and eating right so you're going to be healthier and the numbers will start to respond again. |
