You are in a good range already, but it's up to you to lose more. Good luck!

wfonseca, do you count calories? If you don't, and are not following a different type of diet plan (e.g., South Beach, Jenny Craig, etc) then I suggest starting to measure your portions (with a food scale) and targeting a particular number of calories per day. Given your height, unless you are extremely physically active, I suggest aiming for 1200-1400 cal/day. The key is documenting every bite that goes into your mouth, to count accurately. There are several good online calorie counting programs to use (fitday.com; fatsecret.com; livestrong.com) - they automatically tell you how many calories in the food you are eating, along with fat grams and carbohydrate counts (in case you are tracking those instead of total calories).
Careful calorie counting (or point-counting, in weight watchers) has been a key to the weight loss of almost everyone on this board. Since you've already lost a substantil amount of weight, my guess is that you already do this in some fashion, but that you've gotten tired of it. The problem is, as soon as you stop counting, you can get into "portion creep" and underestimate calories by up to 50%. Good luck! |
