cant believe i did it again..

So today was a very stressful day for me. I slipped up little and my cals bounced up to 1600. Ok not too bad. But just now at babysitting I binged at 12 in the morning !!!! I seriously ate all the kids bad food. My binge was about 1000 cals, 75 fat, 134 carbs and 114 g of sugar. And this isn't including my normal food from today ! I am SO disappointed in myself. Please be honest with me feathers and tell me if you think I ruined all my efforts..

Here's a reference point. I probably ate 3000 calories on Saturday and Sunday eating junk and bounced up almost 2 lbs. Within 48 hours I was back down. All I did was exercise moderately and stay on plan.

One binge won't kill you. Just don't make a habit of it.

i feel for ya! i'm in the same boat. hang in there - anything that was done, can most certainly be undone! just write yourself a positive note about how you feel (NOT a "beat yourself up" note!!!) and pull it out the next time you get the urge to binge.

Thanks feathers - I hate when I do it. I know its not worth it but for some reason when I get really stressed, sugar and carbs are the only things that calm me down. I tried so hard all day not to binge and I didnt. Then because I was freakin babysitting till the butt crack of dawn, I binged. But Im brushing it off. Todays a new day. I just hope I can still make my goal of 128 by Thanksgiving :/

Good job Krampus for getting back in gear!

Something got us to where we needed to lose weight in the first place. And I har a sneaky suspicion it's this for many of us. I agree with krampus. Yes it'll set you back a few days. But just like restricting calories doesn't really always lose say exactly 500 calories worth of a pound when u restrict that, your body won't really gain 1000 calories worth of extra food in a day. The part that keeps us from gaining back all we lost isn't the will power to never binge (at least not for me). But the strength to start fresh immediately. I didn't gain weight from one bad day. It was a series of "oh I messed up, may as well start fresh tomorrow/ next Monday/ next month, and as far as now keep eating all I want..."
You can do this. And this will barely be a blip in the radar if you turn it around now :).

It happens. The important thing is that 1) you got right back on track and 2) it doesn't happen every week. I really do believe it is nigh on to impossible to meet one's goals when starting at a lighter weight if this kind of thing happens every weekend, for example. But every now and then? You'll be fine.

Just get back on track and think of it as a learning experience. your still doing great!!!
