Default Am I eating too much?

Hello!

I would just like to know other people's opinions on whether I'm eating a good amount of food or too much.

Along with eating this diet, I also do an intense full body weight-lifting workout three or four times a week, and on the off days I do cardio (Jillian Michael's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD or HIIT sprints).

I'm just curious because the scale hasn't budged in about a month, and I feel like it should...

Breakfast: Two eggs scrambled w/ salt & pepper, half-cup to 3/4 cup yogurt w/ bit of honey, one english muffin w/ bit of honey, some fruit: usually some melon, a kiwi, and maybe some peach or other seasonal fruit, and a large cup of coffee with milk

Lunch: Big salad with ham or chicken, low-fat dressing

Snack: One piece of fruit, about half cup of yogurt

Snack #2 (at around 6pm, right before workout): One 50 cal slice of pumpernickel bread smeared with cottage cheese, one piece of fruit

(If I work out, I have a banana + whey protein shake here)

Dinner: Usually meat and vegetables, sometimes a small bowl of rice

I feel like I should be losing a bit of weight by now... I do have lots of muscle, but before when I lost weight, I was 10 pounds lighter than I am now and also had lots of muscle... So maybe I'm eating too many calories and just don't realize.

But any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Have you been tracking inches? Sometimes I lose no weight but lose inches because I'm losing fat and gaining muscle. You food looks pretty good, maybe a little high in carbs, but they appear to be pretty good carbs. Without knowing your calorie count it's hard to say if your eating too much. My best guess is that looks like 1800-2000 cals which may be a tad high, but with how much you're exercising it may be ok. I also exercise a lot and I lose at about 1800-2000 cals per day, but I have to make sure there is no calorie creep on the weekends or anywhere else and I have to watch my sodium intake or I don't lose. As long as I'm diligent about 1800-2000 though I do lose weight.

My suggestions would be to start counting and logging everything if you're not already, you be suprised where extra cals can creep in. How's your water intake? I aim for 100 oz per day and it makes a huge difference.

I work out like you do: intense cardio and full-body, intense weight training three times a week. When I look over your meal plan it looks like you aren't eating enough; but then again maybe you are at around 1,500 calories, which is reasonable. Do you know how many calories you are taking in? A protein shake can be 150 calories or 400. Chicken can be 150 calories or 400—or more. And for how long are you working out? It's really hard to say either way without numbers.
