TOO Fast?

Hey Everyone! I hope your having a good weekend... :D

I weighed in today and I am excited, 132.0 :carrot: This is a VERY good day. But I cant help but ask, is this too fast? :?:

I have been sticking to my diet plan (eat healthy, cut out sodas, white breads etc.) Trying to stick around 1200 calories. (using MyNetDiary, doing very well!).... And thats about it. I have only worked out about twice and lets be honest, one of my workouts I didn't even break a sweat. But, I am still loosing weight pretty quickly.

Last Wednesday the 4th was the day before I got on my new plan and on this day I weighed 136.6; my weight always fluctuated between 135 and 136.6 never seen it go above though..

So depending on how you look it it from last Thursday up to today.. I have lost between 3 and 4.5 lbs...

Is this too quick, or is it okay since I am not crash dieting. I have just changed my eating habits DRASTICALLY and haven't eaten out Etc. like I always used to.

Yes, you'll typically drop weight quickly at first, which is exciting. Just keep it realistic and try and be okay when it slows to just 1 or 2 pounds a week. Congrats on your success so far!

I am not cutting out carbs. I actually eat about 40% carbs a day, I have just switched to only whole wheat, fruit etc.

Thanks for the feedback, and I will be okay when it slows to about 1 or 2 a week.. that is actually what I was expecting to loose this past week.

Thanks again..

I dug back into my weight loss archives :) and the first week I counted calories I dropped 3 pounds. This was after dropping 3 pounds in 3 weeks of "trying to eat more healthfully and snack less," which, it turned out, was still somewhat high in calories.

I was exercising quite a bit at the time.

I agree, something about eating more healthfully causes the woosh. I cut out what I call "crappy carbs," (white bread, white rice, white potatoes) and I think generally lowered my sodium by eating fewer processed foods.

I've noticed if I overindulge in crappy carbs or alcohol I put on usually a pound the next day. So clearing your system of these things definitely causes a nice weight loss!
