I like that the scale was a little lower, and my legs aren't even sore from the long workout I did yesterday!

I like the energy I feel every morning to get up and just do things!!!

Carribeangirl, I wish I had energy when I got up in the morning! But my little guy is on a streak of waking up at 5 am -- I will never be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at that hour!
I like that I really made an effort to get to the gym today, even though I was in a dark mood and there were several family- and schedule-related obstacles. I ran and lifted and my arms looked good in the mirrors as I curled and pressed 12.5 lbs in each hand! :workout: ETA: :bravo: oneoftwelve! |
This is no. 2 for today, but it's just been on my mind. I like it that I don't have to keep the air conditioner as cold anymore. Being thinner costs less. I spend less money on food and on cooling the house!

We had a horribly busy day at work. But I feel OK. My legs are tired but nothing extraordinary. I might go have a nap but only because supper is on the go and DH doesn't get home until six. I'm not super tired.

Just back from zip lining, now that was a ball!

I'm an AWESOME cheerleader, I genuinely like people, I love my friends to bits, I'm great at explaining things and generally teaching (I'm not a 'teacher', though). It's taken me a long time to start to remember good things about myself.. Oh, and someone told me I had pretty eyes on Saturday - that made my day! :-)
I know these aren't specific 'today' things.. But up until today, I had a really hard time finding anything positive about myself, so it's a victory for me, today! |

Today, I am saying for the first time ever, that I like my thighs. No, they are not skinny thighs. No one will ever knickname me "Chicken Legs." But today I looked down at my legs while I was running (ever so slowly) and noticed definition in my thighs like I had never seen before. I had this wash of happiness because I know I have accomplished this weight loss using common sense and the power that has always been in my hands (and my heart) and I never really knew or believed it. I am going to write this down and keep it somewhere special. In December, when it is cold and raining and I don't want to go running, I want to remember this day. |
