Thighs, he does have a legitimate concern about safety. One of my college pals in CA had an accident this winter - he's still recovering. I can appreciate the allure, and if you're as mindful with the driving as you are with weight loss, you should be able to avoid the idiots on the road.

CountingDown, I dunno where you are in Michigan - but wow - you are exceptionally brave! Not only can the roads swallow that scooter, but Michigan drivers are ... uh, a unique bunch! I see how drivers treat bicyclists and motorcyclists - it makes me cringe!
