March Challenge!!
 
Ok ladies~ I have decided I am sick of these last 6 pounds! (now 5!!!!) I am challenging myself to lose them by April 1st! I have been putting it off forever and it is time! I have decided that with the exception of Patty's day (because I am Irish and Realistic) :pthat I will not be drinking any alcohol, nor cheating on my diet at all!

I know there are others out there looking to get rid of those last few pesky pounds so my question is, Who is with me?!??! Lets all try to hit our goals this month!! Remember Bathing Suit season is LURKING!!!!:devil:

I am!! Oh the not drinking thing is hard. I love a glass of wine! I am doing good already! I didn't even take a bit of my little guy's peanut butter and jelly sand. today! My favorite.

By the way, you look GREAT! Congratulations on your progress!

Yay!! Ate a good calorie intake yesterday! As well as got a killer work out this morning. I have planned my food for 1200 calories for the day! And another workout later this evening~

For those in this challenge~ Accountability time!!!!!

I have 10 lbs to go and my goal for the challenge will be 5 lbs by April! I also pledge to stop eating these leftover cookies I baked for a work event. I've been sick for a week, so I need to get back into my workout plan and keep sticking to my calorie counting. Good Luck Everyone! :)

Hey everybody! I'm going on a European adventure the first two weeks of april and I really want to drop five or six pounds by then! I know I can do it if I keep eating healthy...exercise for some strange wonderful reason has been no problem :)

I'm going to stay on plan with my calorie count and most importantly eat healthy! Let's do this!!!

Yay more joiners!!!!!! K so yesterday I was too good and didn't get enough calories, so today my focus is to get up to where I need to be to fuel that fire!!! I did Jillian 30DS this morning on Level 2, Oh My! That was ROUGH!! Plan on doing some walking later to complete my day!

How is everyone doing so far?

I'm in!! I've been in a comfortable area with my weight for far too long. I only have about 10 pounds to lose but knowing that the end is so close has allowed me to be lazy and stick at this weight for over a year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I haven't gained but I'm also using it as an excuse not to get my butt moving! My goal is 5 pounds. I ran (something new and usually painfully awkward for me) for 25 minutes yesterday and for the first time I didn't feel like death. I'm wondering if I should do it everyday or stick to the more reasonable goal of every other day.

I ended up sick! :( My son and I both have ear infections (what? I don't think I have EVER had an ear infection!) as well as the other yucky stuff. I am suspending my workouts this week to kick this and counting calories 1200 while I am not working out and next week try the calorie shifting.

I'm totally in! I have 7 pounds to go, myself, so I think I can do it by April! It's been going so well I think I might lower my goal weight to 130 - which I haven't been since probably high school!

I think you should start with the reasonable goal of every other day (3-4 times a week). If you really want to get cardio in on the OFF days, do something different (like elliptical, bike, cardio class). See how your legs feel after a few weeks and add runs from there. The last thing you want to do is injure yourself (recovery sucks!).

Just my opinion. I try to run 4 times per week and strength train 1-2 times per week. I also play sports and occasionally throw fun things like hiking, snowshoeing, x-skiing, and swimming in when I get the chance. Mixing it up keeps me motivated (and wards of boredom).

I'm looking forward to getting back on my workout plan this Thursday, as I'm finally feeling better! I'm keeping to my calories pretty well, but the treats I had this week made me crave more sweets. I'll be going back on phase I of south beach for the weekend to stop the cravings. I'm down another half a pound today though, so I'm happy.

Ooh, I want to join. I would LOVE to lose 5-7 lb by April, because I am THISCLOSE to my goal. I want to look hot in a bikini this summer, so when my husband sees me his eyes bug out of his skull, lol!

OK I'm in I am embarrassed to say that 6 nasty pounds have snuck back onto my body. I am still below my origional goal but I am also shorter than I thought origionally so I am just a bit more than I want to be.

I have regained a whopping 17 lbs, although some of that is back off.

At this point for my challenge I would like to just LOSE something I've been struggling for over a year now and creeping up up up up up.

It's been even rougher in the last couple months. I weaned my son (ooops I was USED to those calories) I got injured and had to stop running and all lower body work and I've been sick. BLAH. Still have all of those things but time to give up self pity.

I think I would realistically like to see 137 by April. Not going for quick loss, just something.

ok, so i'm late to the party but i'm down too! i have 2 more pounds to hit my goal but i wouldn't be super upset if a couple more slipped off too... but my official goal for march is those last 2 lbs. hanging around and diligently working out. i know ALL about swimsuit season coming up!!

i also did 30DS on level 2 for the first time today and oh. my. ow. i'm not too proud to admit i took a few breaks. i'll get better! i'm gonna get out and move some more later on...

glad to be on board!

Down to 142.8 this morning; if I keep up, only three pounds to go to make my March goal! I have to believe it's at least due in part to the fact that I have drastically stepped up my exercise.

Even with being sick and taking a the week of from exercise and weights I lost 1.5 pounds. After 3 weeks of the scale not moving I am very happy about that. My goal this week is to pick the cardio and weights back up and increase my calorie intake from 1200 to 1500...to see if that will make a difference!

It's not starting out terribly well. Lots of wine on Saturday followed by hangover eating on Sunday. I was up to 144.4 this morning but I am not going to count that as official.

Well I'm happy to say that I'm down 2 lbs from early last week. That puts me at 124, just 4 lbs away from my goal. I'd like to be there by the end of the month, and at the least by mid-march, which is when I head to punta cana.

I did great over the weekend (usually my worst time) in terms of food, although I didn't get out and exercise much. I've been trying to stick between 1200-1500 cal per day (I may have went a little over yesterday) and exercise daily this week and hopefully I can keep it up through the weekend. Work is insanely stressful right now, so I'm a little worried. If anything I'll skip the workouts...I just have to make sure to keep making healthy food decisions.

I had my book discussion group at my house last night and did not do all that well. :( I made a quick bread from a mix and followed the low-fat instructions on the side (applesauce sub'd for oil, eggbeaters sub'd for eggs) and I did have a piece of that. Had slices of Cabot 50% reduced fat cheese, some whole grain crackers, and Planter's nuts (Brazils, cashews, almonds). I didn't stuff myself, but I am sure I had more calories yesterday than I should've. Oh, and I also had a cup of hot chocolate, 150 calories. I was up nearly a pound this morning, and I wonder how much my bad eating last night had to do with that.

I think you did pretty well! You made an effort to make the bread low-fat and really didn't eat all that unhealthy~! Today is a new day!

I am really proud that after lunch I had eaten 850 calories. I have such a hard time eating enough calories. It is like I am scared to eat. Last night before dinner I looked at my tally and had only eat 400 calories. Not good! So I am trying to eat more earlier in the day...I have weigh in tomorrow and don't think I'll lose much this week if anything, but I did get all of my cardio/strength training in and have eaten well. That is good! I put on my bikini today and it looked good. My body is getting firm even though I am a higher than usual weight for me. You can really see the muscle tone and I love that! Getting rid of those love handles, hardly anything there anymore! I just hate the scale! :(

I need to hit 159 by sunday to meet my first goal for the month. I woke up this morning and was 160 so I am half way to that mini-goal (crossing fingers)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am down a pound this week! Yeah! I really didn't know if I would lose any weight or not! I was very happy and surprised! Got all of my workouts in this week (except for cardio yesterday...didn't do it) and tried to stay around 1500 calories. A couple of days I was around 1200...

Just got to stick with it! It has been 6 weeks now and I am down 7.5 pounds! Not super fast loss...but I'll take it!

Yay, met my St. Pat's mini-goal - *138.6* as of this morning!

As for my goal to the end of March, maybe another 2-3 pounds? I'd love to see 135, but would definitely take 136!

Well, after my post above - I still haven't seen lighter than 138.4! So my St. Pat's goal was met, but I've had NO further progress between the 14th and now!

134 is DEFINITELY my goal for April...!

Well..I didn't really set a "weight" goal. My goal was more along the lines of making sure that I ate good and worked out. I did! But, didn't lose anymore weight. So FRUSTRATING!! So, I am doing low carb this week to mix things us a bit and so far so good! Down to 143 this morning! We are going to Paris next week for Easter...Yikes! All those yummy pastries. At least we'll be walking constantly for 4 days straight!

Still getting there very very slowly.
