Featherweight Challenge #9 - 2lbs
Well, the last one was so slow, I thought I'd make this a 2 lb-er - maybe get a few more peeps to join in.
RULES! Post your starting weight (SW) and your goal weight (GW) Log in as often as you like and post your current weight (CW)! The first person to reach their 2 lb loss goal weight wins the challenge and gets to start the next thread for the next challenge! Good luck everyone :carrot::carrot::carrot: SW: 139.1 CW: 139.1 GW: 137.1 |
You are the ACE, Robsia! Good job!

I'd love to join in. These last few pounds are going so slowly so hopefully this challenge will really motivate me!

Count me in!
SW: 148 CW: 148 GW: 146 Hopefully that's all accurate, my scale is one of those old fashioned twirling ones, so I can't be too precise. :( |
SW: 118.5
CW: 118 GW: 116.5 I'm not really sure how I lost half a pound in one day. I went to the gym and ran intervals for 25 minutes, then cycled through all the major muscle groups lifting for about 25 minutes- I was worried about retaining water, but perhaps that will hapen tomorrow. For now I'll celebrate the loss! |
I'm in.
I'm up a few since the beginning of the summer and would like to be at 110 by the end of november. So...I started getting back on track at the beginning of this month and would like to be down 2-3 pounds by the end. I weigh in 1x every 2 weeks and my next weigh in is on teh 23rd!! SW:118 CW:117.5 GW: 115 Ideally 3 pounds but 2 would be great too! I'm working out at amoderate level for 35mins daily and watching my caloric intake....Here we go. |
I'm in!!
In the last challenge my start weight was 160 on the 30th of August, yesterday morning the 17th of September I was 154, I was really surprised, shocked actually of the 6 lbs loss....But happy of course :D ... the reason I don't really notice the loss, I guess, is because I yoyo so darn much... So, now I will start at 154, there should be less water loss from now on too... SW 160 CW 154 GW 152 How about we give this thread till October 1st, and start a new one on that date so we have a nice new start at the beginning of each month? Just a suggestion... Another suggestion is to have a monthly thread of weightloss without a number loss but just to see how much we can lose in a month, weither it be 1, 2 or 3 pounds.... Just some thoughts... More suggestions are welcome, or we can keep it just the way it is, if it ain't broke maybe we should't fix it  |
I'm in!
Ok, I also have a stupid old twirly scale, it says 134 today so I'm going for 132!
I was very happy to see it go down a little, I started WW in June and lost 15lb very quickly, now the last 4 weeks I've been stuck at 135. Good luck to everyone! |
Doing okay so far!
SW 151.6 CW 150.8 GW 149.6 |
I'm in! Didn't do too well on the last, hopefully this one will be better. Off to visit the inlaws this weekend, the food is always great, so I really need to motivate myself to eat sensibly.
SW: 158 CW: 158 GW: 156 |
Well, the day after I hit 139, it went back up to 140 and has stayed there stubbornly ever since. But I will see that three again!! I am determined.
|
Whoo! Yeah! Plateau's over!
SW 151.6 CW 150 GW 149.6 |
How is everyone doing? I have been fighting with my scales, but I finally saw that three again. Not quite back to what I was at the beginning of this challenge, but I'm getting there.

OK, better late then never:
SW- 138 CW:138 GO: 136 These last pounds are taking FOREVER!!!! What are some of you doing to keep motivated but also to speed up the process. It's basically like I am loosing 3 lbs a month! And I have to say that I am eating well, staying within my calories and exercising too. I think I'm going to up my exercise. |
If you look at my sig, you'll see I am only losing between 2 and 4 lbs a month too. I just think that if I lose 3 lbs a month, at least it's 3 lb I won't see again.
And, don't forget 3 lb means much more at this stage as it's a far greater percentage of your entire body weight than a bigger person. I can see the difference every single pound makes at this stage now, whereas when I was 200+, I could only really see a difference when I lost 7 lb. I want to be at 135 by my birthday, but if it takes till Christmas then so be it. So long as it comes off and doesn't go back on again, that is what matters. I'm also going to get some body fat scales too so I can watch my body fat % go down. Once I hit my goal I think I will still need something to keep track of, so I have started tracking my exercise. I'm not doing a huge amount at the moment, but I'm aiming for 210 minutes a week to start, which averages at 30mins per day. I'm going to see how that fits in with my other commitments, and then see if I can't start to increase the amount of exercise I do. Entering figures on spreadsheets and seeing visible improvements is what motivates me. |
SW- 18.5
CW-117 GW-116.5 Getting closer. After my last post when I was excited to get down to 118 I went back up to 120 somehow and have been working my way back down every since. Robsia- I have a scale at home which does fat% and I love it. I just currently saw a tanita scale that can do muscle %, bone density, BMR, and a bunch of other really cool things. I was shocked. I wish I had one of those so I could try and monitor my muscle %, because if I lost one pound but it's mostly muscle that nothing to be happy about. |
A friend of mine brought some body fat scales round the other day and I was 27% which is higher than I'd like (she was 37% though - :D).
You can get those scales which measure bone density etc here too - but they aren't cheap. |

OO! Maybe this will motivate me eventough everyone has a head start!
SW:128.4 CW:127.2 GW:126.4 |
sw:138
cw137.2 gw:136 it's coming along... |
SW: 132
CW: 131 GW: 130 This plateau is bugging me. But I am focusing on other things right now (a board meeting at work, my vacation--next week!) so it will have to wait until I get back from vacation. Oh, 130, why are so elusive?!? |
mango- 130 was so tough for me to get to and get past! I found that after I got to 129 it seems a lot easier!
Good luck! |

So the first 15lbs lost were a breeze, now I just keep hovering around 135. Up a pound, down a pound. Almost 6 weeks now.
I guess I need to add more exercise. Actually, I need to be honest and add exercise, period. Saying 'more' makes it sound like I'm doing some now, and I'm not on that treadmill nearly enough to count! |
